ABC's "The Path to 9/11," the USS Cole and John O'Neill

Weighing in on the ABC mini-series "The Path to 9/11," the former ambassador to Yemen, Barbara Bodine, writes ("9/11 Miniseries is Bunk") in today’s Los Angeles Times:

I'll give $5 to anybody who can think of ONE PERSON in the Clinton administration who hasn't written an article, issued a statement, published a letter, or appeared on cable TV in the last 72 hours.

The Clinton GOONS are bringing out all of their SMEAR arsenal it seems...lining up the 'heavy hitters' to try to keep the phony Clinton Legacy going.





Ms. Bodine's career was marked by controversy when details of her conflict with the FBI investigation of the Cole bombing came to light. According to a PBS Frontline documentary, Ms. Bodine's actions -- in particular her conflict with FBI agent John P. O'Neill -- may have contributed to the intelligence failure that resulted in the 9/11 bombing of the World Trade Center.

She then became Diplomat in Residence at UCSB, until the March 2003 Invasion of Iraq, when she was appointed coordinator for central Iraq in charge of Baghdad.

Barbara Bodine was yanked as civilian manager of Iraq because, along with FBI’s Thomas Pickard, she was the American whose machinations bear the most responsibility for 9-11.



Ambassador Barbara Bodine, who was concerned over keeping good relations with the anti-American stronghold. She undercut him, sabotaged him, prevented him from carrying adequate weapons, and when he needed to return a few months later to question witnesses- she denied him entry- which shockingly was upheld by State and the FBI. Meanwhile, the bureaucratic hacks at the FBI used several minor transgressions to charge, threaten, and damage O’Neil- till they drove him out of the agency. In August 2001, he took a new job- head of security for the World Trade Center, where he was killed going back into the towers to rescue people. It is almost certain that, if O’Neil had been allowed to do his job, he would have caught the 9-11 terrorists in time- he predicted Sept 10th that they would try to knock down the WTC again. While Al Qaida cranked up their plans to kill up to 50,000 Americans, tax accountant Pickard waged war only on the one man who could stop them- O’Neil. When the book is written on who was responsible for not stopping 9-11, the answers will be Thomas Pickard, who quit last November to go into private security; Barbara Bodine , now at University of California at Santa Barbara.

Since I don't watch ABCNNBCBS, I wouldn't know who has been or has not been on those pseudo news programs. I will not watch Fox News when they have a group discussion with a screaming head liberal.

Having said that, I remember late afternoon and early evening on 9/11/01 when we checked into a motel in Brookings, Oregon on our way home from a shortened vacation after the attacks.

The only people on tv that afternoon were the old Klintoon Klowns. My wife, who at that time wasn't much of a FR fan, said, "Turn this BS off. You can find out what really happened and why from Free Republic when we get home tomorrow."

So, we turned off the tv and went out for a pizza. When we got home, my wife sent me in to review what had happened on FR. The news was devastating, but it beat watching and listening to the Klintoon Klowns on tv.
