I think this horse is dead so I don't feel like beating it again.

You're wrong.

The horse is dead, beaten to a pulp, run thru a shredder, blended into mush, and the individual atoms scattered thru the universe.

"You're wrong."

I don't think so...the proof is in the pudding!

And as further evidence, check out RadioAstronomer's response.

The impish, valley-girl "Whatever" retort is quite revealing.

She and a 16 year old girl hit head on going normal speeds. They both had blind spots and saw each other when it was to late.

"Normal" is too fast when you can't see. Unfortunately, that's normal, especially for the inexperienced who should just be going dead slow.

The "whatever" is due to this same tired argument on this thread over and over and over and over.......

And I will restate:

The horse is dead, beaten to a pulp, run thru a shredder, blended into mush, and the individual atoms scattered thru the universe.

Addendum: Never to be reassembled for the rest of the theoretical life of the universe.

SO I AM GONE FROM THIS THREAD! NEVER TO RETURN!

Also for the theoretical life of the universe (or the life of FR) - whichever ends first.

Bye thread.

Sometimes I refute the errant nonsense offered as a replacement for science and ...

Oh, wait! That's what you mean by "derision of prayer and its practitioners."

"Why did God do this to me?" but he hasn't mentioned the crash, a close family friend said Wednesday.

When presented with inconsistent facts at the time of takeoff, he chose not to question them. That is not God's fault.

When Adam and Eve chose to proceed on their own without God's protecting hand and make that decision for their children as well, all such things and worse became possible in the physical world. That is not God's fault either nor is it a moral blot to have allowed it from the point of view of the real spiritual world and the souls involved, which do not die.

The physical world is like a movie in which we write the script as we go. We are responsible for making a good movie. But in the end, it was just a movie for which the actors will be reviewed afterward.

A cogent metaphor for the 21st century. "the moving hand, having writ, moves on..."

Prayers for those who have left the thread. And on that prayerful note, I too depart.

Four evil evos, trolling threads with glee.
One got zotted by the mods and then there were three.
Three nasty evos, belching out their spew.
One lost his taste for it and then there were two.
Two thuggish evos, still having fun.
One made his bow to leave and then there was one.

One crazy evo ...
</sarcasm>

OK, that's it for me.

"You're wrong."

That was the same posited to me via another poster. However, not seeing a need to reply but letting the post be the evidence of confirmation, I chose not to enjoin that challenge. Some things speak for themselves and some challenges are a futile waste of precious effort.

The evidence is post #5 and argues on its own behalf.

You were warned earlier by the Religion Modertor to stay off of this thread. One more post and you will face a lengthy suspension.
Thanks.

'Guilty, however, is a different issue.'

Guilt implies malice. This was an AC mishap. Responsibility rests with the flight crew that made several cascading errors which resulted in a premature unplanned contact with the ground short of their intended point of landing. The NTSB is conducting the investigation. I haven't seen or heard anyone say this was a criminal act, so I'm not concerned with guilt. The objective facts point to the crew.

'The Commander of the USS Cole was totally responsible. But was he guilty??? '

These two situations are not even in the same ballpark.

Wow - your buddy must need a lot of help to hijack a prayer thread - complete with lectures to the mods. Nice example of "defending science" there, boys.

Hijacking a prayer thread, now I have seen everything.

I would have to agree, now that the facts have become published. You seemed to have more of the facts a little earlier than most who posted on the thread.

And the subject of 'guilt' was inappropriate since it was not even mentioned by you in your posts.

I think the mention was made by another poster and I carried into the post I made back to you.

My apologies.
