"I would like to point out that the US military is not a police organization."

Is that the function they are serving in South Korea? Here they'd be border guards. They'd be deployed atop 25-foot-tall walls. There'd be nobody to arrest. Nobody to pursue. They'd just have to tell people to GO AWAY!

How come we allow them to do that in South Korea, but not here?

Posse Comitatus doesn't apply to our National Guard.

They'd only be needed for as long as it took us to dress a few thousand movie theater ushers in uniforms and stick them up on the wall.

There's another nut on these threads that wants everybody to believe that it would require years of training, schooling and intense supervision to prepare a candidate to stand on top of a wall and watch for possible intruders. He's seriously mistaken. Evidently you are, too.

Apparently, NATO blows enough smoke up their border guards' rear-ends that they're convinced they're rocket scientists for standing outside in the sun, snow, heat, cold and rain.

One might need a PHD to do border guard duty for NATO, but along our U.S. borders a GED will do just fine.

LOL!

"Posse Comitatus doesn't apply to our National Guard."

"The National Guard serves as a branch of the United States Armed Forces, under control of the Commander in Chief in practice, even though gubernatorial control is implied. This obviously places them under the purview of Posse Comitatus. It is not a question of if, but when this decision is made by the Supreme Court. The only reason it has not been struck down, is due to the fact that nobody has seen fit to challenge it." Excerpt from: From the Bench, Interviewing the Justices. In S Korea, Posse Comitiatus does not apply, because it is not sovereign US soil. Training would take about twelve weeks, because presumably they would be armed, and would have to be taught how to shoot, and learn the use of force continuum. I am not opposed to a wall. I am not opposed to a manned wall. I do not believe it will take a million men. (the technology is available to use thermal equipment so that fifteen men could easily control 150 mi.) I am opposed to a militarized wall. Civilian Law Enforcement can easily handle this job.

Sarcasm is the key element.

"Placing one million of our 1.4 million would be a difficult task to say the least." I think you are confusing my above comment with someone that actually thinks it is necessary or possible.

Corruption, Bribery, Murder, Rape, and DUI all happen here too.

"Send us your uneducated, your illiterate, your violent, illegally yearning to be on welfare" isn't quite what's on the Statue of Liberty.

It amazes me how you can sum up a national character with just a few taps of your keyboard. Despite your claims to the contrary, I doubt you have any experience with illegals, except for maybe granting them the opportunity to cut your grass.

It is very hitleresque.

They are the source of our bad tax laws, our faulty Justice system, our welfare state, our deficit, and all of our crime.

Would it be OK if let them in as long as they wore a yellow star, Mein Fuher?

Honestly read what you are writing. This is not me playing a race card. It is what you are saying. Instead of blaming them and wasting your energy fighting this, why not fight to correct some of the problems that actually bother you. This is the typical logical of the "don't hit back" generations: Blame someone else for your problems, and then you are absolved of all wrong doing. YOU are a citizen, not a subject.

Then we would pay them. So they are too stupid to earn a living?

"Yes I believe what is on the Statue of Liberty."

I find the argument that because we have criminals here, we should bring in more empty.

"Despite your claims to the contrary, I doubt you have any experience with illegals, except for maybe granting them the opportunity to cut your grass."

I mow my own grass, you lazy bum.

I was wondering when you'd get around to the "conservative=Nazi" argument your side often uses.

"Instead of blaming them and wasting your energy fighting this, why not fight to correct some of the problems that actually bother you."

Every time I pay my taxes, I'm affected by illegal aliens. Every time I drive, I'm affected by illegal aliens. A nation that doesn't control its borders isn't one. I do not consider fighting for the future of this country to be "wasting my effort".

"YOU are a citizen, not a subject."

Which is why I want the laws enforced equally. Amnesty is dead.

I find it equally absurd that because there are criminals in foreign countries, every one of "them" is a criminal. There are criminals here, that makes you one.

Lets face the fact, you have your marching orders from the party, and you will oppose this. There is no debating you, because you use no facts, only misrepresentations. You are arguing like a liberal. And as you know, people only argue like that when they are wrong.

"I find it equally absurd that because there are criminals in foreign countries, every one of "them" is a criminal."

At the very least, they've violated immigration law. Many also commit the felony of identity theft. You want to reward them for this. You really have no idea the message that sends to the world....

"There are criminals here, that makes you one."

What law am I supposed to have broken?

"You are arguing like a liberal."

I'm arguing FOR law and order. You call me a Nazi. Go back to DU.

I hate to break it to you, but I am a conservative. I am more conservative than you could even imagine. Shutting down the borders is not a conservative opinion, it is a republican one. Do not mix the two.

And the republican party is using the fear mongering and misrepresentation that is typically reserved for liberals. The "Rape your daughter" line is the best one in this thread. Rapes, despite KKK propaganda typically occur along the same lines as serial killers. That is to say, within the same ethnic group.

Xenophobia, and innate ability to blame someone else for your problems is a trait you and the Nazis share. There is no arguing that.

Every time you pay taxes, your are affected by corrupt and inept politicians.

Which is why you want the laws equally enforced. A bad law should not applied at all. Not screw everyone equally. Our country was founded on immigration, it was built on immigrant labor. And you can go all the way back to the forefathers if you choose, but it isn't necessary. First the slaves, then the Chinese, Italians, Irish, Germans, Russians. It just so happens right now its Hispanic.

And you are no different than the bigots that used immigration control to slow the influx of those groups I named above. Hang an "Irish need not apply" sign on the door of your business and be done with it. Everybody deserves their shot at the American dream.

The phrases:
"They are criminals" "They won't learn the language" "They are parasites" can be found on propaganda from the time attack each one of those ethnic groups. And I hate to be the one to break it to you, but it wasn't true then, and it is not true now.

History will show you to be on the wrong side of this event.

Now you will go off into an "I'm not a bigot" tirade. But before you do, think about it, do you dislike those of another color? And while you hesitate, accept it.

"I hate to break it to you, but I am a conservative."

No, you are not.

"Shutting down the borders is not a conservative opinion, it is a republican one."

It is pretty clear that the reverse is true. It's clear on this forum if anywhere. The Party doesn't want the laws enforced.

"Xenophobia, and innate ability to blame someone else for your problems is a trait you and the Nazis share. There is no arguing that."

More "conservatives = Nazis". Go back to DU.

"A bad law should not applied at all"

Are you actually claiming that the existence of the border is a "bad law"? What other laws do you think are "bad"? We've already established that you see nothing wrong with SS fraud and identity theft if an illegal alien commits it....

"And you are no different than the bigots that used immigration control to slow the influx of those groups I named above."

Why do you favor one ethnic group over another? More to the point, why do you favor people who jump to the head of the line - ahead of people who are following our very reasonable process?

"And I hate to be the one to break it to you, but it wasn't true then, and it is not true now."

Yes, it is. We didn't have a welfare state then.

"And while you hesitate, accept it"

Accept what? Lawbreaking on a massive scale? The massive security hole that border represents? OTMs from who knows where here to do who knows what? Drug smuggling? Hospitals being forced to close? School systems being inundated? Unpunished felonies that citizens would be imprisoned for?

I don't accept that. I don't accept that at all.

I used to live on that border, "Amber Paine01". You clearly have not. You disgust me.
