We use both as common and convenient antiseptics. For example when having a minor tooth infection or mouth infection or sore throat, we take the oregano oil and the symptoms subside quickly. For the oregano oil, we use the commonly found NOW brand in essential oil which costs around ten dollars for an ounce that lasts a long time. You can get it diluted with olive oil as well, but that makes for an expensive oil for what you get. Other places sell the diluted stuff for far more, but this is 100% pure Oreganum vulgare.

NOW does not advertise their oil as some magic cure, merely an essential oil. Important is that it is the pure stuff. A friend of ours who is a skeptic tried it on her chronic toenail fungus infection after nothing else worked. She applied it only, did not dare take it internally. In a month the persistant fungus was gone even as she complained about smelling like pizza.

You may be able to order the stuff directly from them online, otherwise, a quick Google search should reveal a large number of online suppliers. It may be the NOW stuff is only sold in health food stores, but most all carry it. Otherwise it may be worth the drive. LOL. Here is the NOW site:
