Oh--that's rich. I suggest you stick to facts, highball. By the way--are you supporting liberal Bill Nelson in the U.S. Senate race? An honest answer will suffice.

I have stuck to the facts - you have pretended that they aren't there. Sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting loudly won't make the inconvenient facts go away.

I support the party's nominee. I was praying that the primary voters wouldn't make this mistake, but we're stuck with her. Now we need to make sure that she runs the best race that she can.

To that end, I'm hoping that she'll change the way in which she runs that campaign, because if she doesn't I think she's dead in the water.

That's my honest answer - I don't lie.

Which party?

Well, there was the time Harris said she'd put $X million (ten, I think?) of her money into the race. Then she took it back.

And the hangar incident, where Harris blamed poor turnout for a campaign rally on the fact that the hangar where it was originally scheduled to be held had been damaged and they had to change locations. Except ... no hangar had been damaged, and they had never changed locations.

Those are two good ones. Then there are the many "endorsements" posted on her website which had to be removed when the persons involved denied ever endorsing her.

There is no dispute that the campaign has released inaccurate statements on several occasions. None. That means either her campaign is staffed with liars or with incompetent morons.

Neither alternative is particularly flattering to Harris, and she'll have to clean out her campaign if she wants to win the general.

Which party?

Mine.

The GOP.

Trying to smear other posters won't be any better than sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting loudly. Those inconvenient facts just won't go away....

Your trying to take a few individuals who have stated they did not want to be on a list of people endorsing Katherine Harris as lying...You know nothing about lying....That happens in many campaigns..You hoped the primary voters would not select her....Shows just how little you know about Florida politics...We have been with her from the first till the last....Nor do we need your advice to support her now....You have bought into the liberal smear machine in this state as the truth....You know little about the truth...Actually it appears you understand little about politics...In Florida it is not much different than other states in this day and time....The difference here is she did not have the support of the party and did what she did with support of true conservatives and not wannabes....

Now we need to make sure that she runs the best race that she can.

How do you intend to do this when your every post is regurgitation of the same old info? I don't see evidence you are trying to move along to support the FL GOP candidate for U.S. Senate at all.

Thank you for your reply. - I never said that.

Thanks for the post and you're right you did not say that. The original poster sort of made the assertion that a traditional southern state campaign would work in Florida and I incorrectly infered that you were trying to make that case.

We are certainly on the same page and I agree with pretty much everything in your post. It will be interesting to see in what direction the states will trend to. I believe that it will stay a battleground state for quite a while with the Republicans enjoying a 2% to 3% advantage that a strong democratic challenger could make up.

I do feel strongly that a "bible thumping" campaign that would play well in other southern states like Alabama or Mississippi will be very effective in Florida in a state-wide general election.

u. What an arrogant position to take. Government is everyone's business. It's not just for atheistic secularists.

You badly misunderstood or misread the post you replied to. The original poster didn't say that Christians shouldn't participate in government. It's not clear where you ever got that idea.

You mean Bill Nelson is going to go down that badly???

Let's see now. Katherine is not imported from half-way across the country. Katherine can compose a series of 5 sentances that doesn't cause half the country to emit large yellow puddles from their bottom halves. Katherine is a fairly attractive woman. Katherine is not Bill Nelson. Katherine isn't significantly older or less attractive than her opponent.

Where's the corralary?

Paul

Way to go, Katherine... all the way to the U.S. Senate.

Can't wait to see what the nay-sayers and haters around here have to say then.

Can't wait!!!

Has nobody posted the pictures of who takes over committee's if you don't vote for Harris? That is usually one of the first things posted, someone is slowing down on the job.

Also, if you don't vote for Harris, you are just electing Democrats. You should just vote Democrat since that is what you really want to do anyway. How dare anyone of you think for yourself!

This is not intended for you La Enchiladita, (just posted to you cuz you were the last one on the thread..:)just me spewing the usual talking points one usually finds on these threads...:)

I read your post. In fact, I have read all your posts on this thread. I understood all of them. You are a Christian hater/basher. This is no knee jerk response. Your incessant verbal assaults on fundamental Christians are wearisome. Your posts are the equivalent of verbal spitting on me and my faith. I called you on it after many posts, and all you can do is call me pathetic and ignorant. While I am a Christian, and try to emulate my savior, I am not Christ. I will allow myself to be attacked only so many times before I respond, even if it is just by association. Had you kept the discussion to the topic of this thread, i.e the primary victory of Katherine Harris, without the attendant fundamental Christian bashing, I would not have posted to you at all, but you are venomous in your hatred of Christians, and the final straw was your reference to Christians sticking their noses into other people's business re government. Government is everyone's business, not just those you decide you want to participate.

Personally, I don't care if you like Christians or not. That is between you and God. But you have no right to define which issues Christians may comment on. If you don't like that, too bad. The weakness of your response only defines the weakness of your position. Since you must rely on name calling and facetious rhetoric, you reveal much about your character, or lack of same. Good day.

You can't even be honest. You posted to me because I obviously support her candidacy and hope for her to win.

But your M.O. is typical of the cheap-shot artists on this thread.

P.S. Feel free to vote for Democrats in your own state, Oklahoma.

(Isn't that what you expected?)

You badly misunderstood or misread the post you replied to. The original poster didn't say that Christians shouldn't participate in government. It's not clear where you ever got that idea.

Original quote replied to: Their incessant need to butt their collectivist hive-mind noses into other people's business, particularly in areas where government has no reason or natural authority to intrude.

I take it you are referring to the bolded part of the quote above. In and of itself, it doesn't refer to government, but as the last post of a cumulative pattern of remarks, the inference is that Christians have no more business participating in politics than they do in private matters. Taken alone, I can see that you might believe that I misunderstood the post, but I have read every post on this thread, and was responding to that summation of the poster's attitudes towards Christians as evidenced by his many posts on this thread, and since this board allows one to respond to a single post at a time, this was the one I chose. But, it seems like its not only collectivist hive-minded Christians who like to stick their noses into other people's business. I guess I'll just have to take my pathetic and ignorant self offline and not log back on to FR as I am apparently too stupid for public discourse. Good Day.

That being said, I'd never vote for lunatic Katherine. She's a nut-case.

Being that you're a Mary-lander, you don't have much say in the matter. Do you have a problem with Steele too?

Keep being a nattering naybob of negatism and on November 8th your senatorial representation will consist of a fat squat leftist lesbian and the incredably racist ex-head of the NAACP, Greasy Myflume AKA Frizzel Gray. Now that's crazy.

You really did misunderstand it. His view is that fundamentalist Christians tend to want GOVERNMENT to get involved in matters that GOVERNMENT should not be.

He never said the Christians should not get involved - he just didn't like the direction that a lot of zealous Christians want the government to take.

I doubt that he has any problem with Christians in general - just the ones that that go overboard and want to start instituting a quasi-theocracy. Unfortunately, the numbers are quite high.

No one is saying that you're "too stupid for public discourse" - I'm just saying that you misread the post. I did the same thing in this specific thread.

I think Katherine Harris' charm has brought out the devil in you. A simple WOOOOO! HOOOOO! is much better than a walk in DU decadence.
