ABC's 'Path to 9/11': Bill Clinton's Inconvenient Truth

Controversy--actual or drummed-up--is what the media does. It is, & always has been a business & whoever's in power is going to find them camped out on the lawn, trampling the roses--& now that we've gone beyond the papers & the evening news to 24-hour blog/cable/radio coverage there's a certain desperation for drama, discord & who's-wearing-what-&-why.

It seems to me that about--let's be generous & say 40 per cent--of it is a good thing in that it brings the sort of transparency vital to a true democracy. The rest just seems to be the old Shakespearean "sound & fury signifying nothing". Noise, nothing but noise.

I've always admired Powell. He was and is as you've described him. If he put his name on the ballot (& I wish he would)he could be one of the best things to happen to this country.

Bush being a poker player is apt, but I have to say that I look at it a different way. As a lifelong Nevadan, I've been to the tables a few times (a few too many times, which is why I don't do it any more, if you get my meaning)

With so many lives on the line--American, Iraqi, Isreali, Lebanese, Palestinian, etc., --I pray to God that he's not bluffing.

I don't mean he is bluffing - never!! I believe President Bush knows exactly what needs to be done and will do it.

Well, well, I'm listening to Rush and he puts the responsibilty on Powell!!!

If there is anyone I trust It is Rush! He says this could have been stopped before it began.

Well, Powell hurts and disappoints me - but we go on!!!!!!!

I heard last night that the Clintons pressured ABC to edit the show and that they caved and edited it as per Clinton requests. Anyone else heard this?

I heard they wanted to, but we will see if they succeded.I plan to watch it. I did hear it is supposed to be broadcast without any commercials
