I feel for you. I saw the writing on the wall and got out of LA 15 years ago. I was back for the first time a few weeks ago. It's as bad as I thought. One thing people don't realize is that all of the traffic (and therefore pollution) in LA is due to population growth, which in turn is due completely to immigration, much of it illegal.
I admire those who stayed and are fighting the good fight.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio doesn't use the term "immigration" when referring to those illegally in the country because that indicates some legality.
He uses the term "illegal ALIEN." He's right, of course.
This should read "federal felony ILLEGAL ALIEN warrant."
