I guess I am just naive or ignorant but I do not understand why, after almost 6 years of unceasing and escalating lies, smears, distortions and slander at the hands of people like Ms. Perky this president doesn't realize he is dealing with ENEMIES and act accordingly. Why give her an interview at all? How will this help him? How will snubbing enemies like this hurt him more? Certainly Perky and the CBS propaganda team will still despise him. Are there no neutral or friendly media outlets he can go to to give interviews? As pointed out by several above CBS will edit this to cast him in as negative a light as possible. So no matter how well he handles her the presentation will never show it.
Give me a break.
As President of the United States, Bush has been up against far more formidable foes than little katie for at least 6 years running.
The thing I like about Bush is that he gets his point across, and stands by his convictions. Whether or not he sounds like Winston Churchill while doing it is beside the point.
I feel your pain...However, the new and improved Katie needs a good send off. I wonder why the White House agreed to this to begin with.

The first "top-of-mind" picture in my mind of Ms. Katie is her eye shadow running down her face as she was visably crying on air when Republicans won the last election.

I don't know how Bush will choose to handle her, but he will handle her. Possibly with the gloves off, more likely with gentle good manners.

If she attacks and asks boorish questions...as she is prone to do...then the contrast between them will be stark and detrimental to HER and CBS will be the loser.
At any rate, the interview will be the only time I will be tuning in, not to hear her, but to see and hear the President.
