"We're at war with Islamic fascism," said Santorum, the No. 3 Senate Republican. "Afghanistan and Iraq and southern Lebanon and every country around the world is a front." Perfect!

I did like the point about every Islamic country being a front though.

I don't know if Islamic facism is the enemy of the Democrats. They seem to agree on most issues.
To: wagglebee
"We're at war with Islamic fascism," This is getting tiring. Republicans are committing a tautologia. Islam is fascism. To say we are at war with fascism is to say we are at war with Islam. Get over the civility already.

Likewise, the Islamic Fascists and their tacit allies among the world's lefties are the common enemy as well.

"We need to get the best minds all over the country working on producing new energy sources," he said.
Wrong. We know about and have the technology for alternatives.
We need government to remove obstacles. Transport fuels from Coal. Oil Shale and Tar Sands. Offshore drilling and production.
ANWR. Diesels in the five states that prohibit them. Winfarms. Hydroelectric, dams.
Etc.

He keeps hitting on this, Casey could see his ever-dwindling lead go POOF!

I think it is important that candidates for national office name the enemy: Radical Islam or Islamic Fascism. Most don't name the enemy. I think part of the reason for Santorium's latest bump in the polls is that he names the enemy. It is especially important for moderate Republicans to name the enemy--because some of the more conservative base may not be coming out to vote, but if they hear that the candidate actually knows who the enemy is, that could be a motivator.

And I urge everyone to contribute and work on behalf of Santorum if you are anywhere near the area.
A stronger Republican ally in the Senate on the war cannot be found. A few equal, but none surpass.
Nor will you find another Republican in his geographical area with the guts to state the truth about our energy situation and list ANWR among the type of responses needed.

Santorum is an spokesperson extraordinaire
for conservatives...he delivered perhaps the best speech by a politician I have ever heard at my college graduation.... It wouldn't surprise me if he is on the Republican ticket as a VP in 2008.
