Lawyer ping.

And if we are the ones not actively involved in electing those godly men and women," then "we're going to have a nation of secular laws. That's not what our founding fathers intended and that's (sic) certainly isn't what God intended."

Speaking as a non-religious conservative, bite me Katherine Harris. Have fun losing by 40 points in November.

Harris just doesn't handle this issue as well as I do, does she? :) LOL.

I have a thought. Maybe God is telling Harris he wants her to lose the primary, and is putting words in her mouth to make that come real. It is NOT too late!

Actually electing Godless people is the best thing the US and other countries can do. WHY? It is very clear that Jesus said that as in the days of Noe or Noah so will be the days when the Son of Man will return. This old world will have to be going to hell in a handbasket before it gets any better.

Matt 24:37-39 37
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (KJV)

What a maroon. So Jews, Buddhists, LDS, Deists and others need not apply? That really is offensive. She deserves to go down in the flames she is fanning so busily for herself.

She has it all wrong, big time. Two lessons everyone in the world should learn.

1. You cannot legislate morality. Morality is in people's hearts, not in the laws. Moral people will be moral no matter the law. One example is muslim countries. Their laws are nothing but their "morality." I do not want a country telling when to pray, what I can pray, or that I cannot change religions if I so choose. If there is going to be a change in people, it has to come from within, not from Congress.

2. You cannot legislate sin. Sin has been around since Adam and Eve decided to pick fruit. Laws can make it easier to sin, but if someone is going to sin, they really don't care if there is a law allowing them to do it or not, they are going to do it.

Learn these lessons and you will not have ulcers and you will sleep better at night.

The Harris campaign is defying the most basic premises of physiology. It appears to have an indefinite number of feet and an indefinite number of mouths to put them into.

Religious supremicism doesn't belong in politics.

"We do not live in a theocracy."

Probably the only absolutely true statement in the whole article. And we never will, despite what the DU'er / MoveOn idiots think the "Christian Right" wants.

Katherine Harris is clearly not well. Let's hope she'll take the honorable route and step aside before the primary.

""What is going through this woman's mind?" said Slosberg. "We do not live in a theocracy.""

She hasn't read the writings of the founding fathers. This was founded a Christian nation. Every state in the Union mentions God in its preamble.

In reality, she said, "we have to have the faithful in government" because that is God's will. Separating religion and politics is "so wrong because God is the one who chooses our rulers," she said.

This is the United States of America. We do not have "rulers." That this woman thinks those elected to represent us in the government are our "rulers" automatically disqualifies her from ever holding office in my view.

Well at least she didn't hit us with the divine right of Congresscritters........

And now I think I understand why my conservative relatives down in Florida think this lady is a complete embarrassment. too bad it took a easily winnable Senate seat to bring this freak out.

Rep. Katherine Harris said this week that God did not intend for the United States to be a "nation of secular laws" and that a failure to elect Christians to political office will allow lawmaking bodies to "legislate sin."

It's official. She's nuts.

I have not followed this lady too well (not from Florida)... But I agree with her statement... too bad if others don't...

If your not electing Christians, you are getting what you asked for. Hard not to agree with this IMHO...
