I'm pukin' they're just itching for another Katrina, I can hear the collective sadness when one blows out to sea, ernesto is #5, can't remember the names of the other four, but, I bet the MSM can name 'em off with no problemo!

The fighting spirit is just not there anymore. War is tiring, and hell, and all that. We know what it's going to take to get that spirit back, but it's a damn shame that it's gotta be that way.

I agree - if Steyn goes for it he will get it, maybe as soon as 2007. Levin isn't a national presence of any kind, regardless of what some folks like to think. The top 3 national hosts are Rush, Hannity, and Savage.
Of those three, Hannity is the most vulnerable I'd say. My guess is Steyn would almost immediately be a top 10 host and crack the top 5 in time.
He has some things going against him - his accent (any accent in fact) is unusual in news talk circles. He's Canadian and lives in New Hampshire. Still, I don't doubt that if this is a course he wants to take, he will excel at it. It's probably just up to him.
Yesterday didn't go unnoticed, though. Hugh Hewitt and Lileks mentioned the grand slam that Steyn hit yesterday. If they casually mention it on the air, they're all talking about it.
Viva Steyn - he and Savage would be my 'must-listen' shows every day!

Savage is going to pop a gasket.

That's ok, he's got 10 minutes left and two whole days to recuperate!

What's wrong with New Hampshire?

I think that's a big part of it. I also think it's very easy for a guy to talk about grabing a rifle and go toe-to-toe with a big, mean Nazi.
When the prospect of violence becomes more real, it's only natural that a a lot of tough talking men soil their panties.
I really did believe many of the Jewish folks I knew (of a variety of ages) with the 'never again' lines. It's clear to me now that most were just talking out of their @ss.

Nothing, it's lovely. I like it a lot. You just don't see a lot of conservative talkers broadcasting from NH and the otherwise fruity liberal far Northeast.

Good thing Savage started the show focusing on Rock N Roll Friday, because this 3rd hour he's blowing his typical Savage gasket. Luckily it's the 3rd hour vice the 1st otherwise we'd be listening to a 'best of' for the 3rd hour.
UH-OH gotta go, yet another JETTA commercial. Sheesh, they're killing me with this tripe. Are there ANY other commerials out there please????
