He's not even a RINO. Read some of what this dude has posted in the past about how deporting illegals hurts their families. It's downright bleeding-heart.
please examine the reason i posted that article.... its just below the item. i make no apologies for the SPLC -- i just think the discussion of the Washington Times role in the evolution of the Minutemen is interesting given the attacks that have been made on Jerry Seper in recent weeks.
Don't bull$hit a bull$hitter. You posted this because it had a tantalizing headline that suits your agenda.
fine. believe what you want. i stand by what i said.
If you don't mind my asking, how did you come upon this article? Do you regularly surf the SPLC site?
Instead of engaging in ad hominen attacks, why not address his point?
nope - saw it referred to on a blog. can't remember which one.
That'd be difficult until PDR specifically names the 'certain people' and comments they made referred to in his 'point'.
Seeing just how low you can go, eh?
Perhaps you should reveal to our FReeper reading audience your longtime personal and financial relationships with the Washington Times/UPI and to the reporter in question, Jerry Seper, eh, "PDR"?
Or with past and present friends and associates of yours like Steve Moore, Newt Gingrich, Grover Norquist, Jack Quinn, Ed Gillespie, and certain other open borders VIPs in this administration.
Are they paying you now, or are you playing Benedict Arnold to the conservative movement for free?
Dang, you've sold us out so badly, you might even be working directly for the SPLC or the ACLU these days...
BTW, this post of yours is proof positive of your obvious frustration that Seper's phony Minuteman hitpiece was ineffective for y'all. Shoot, it got so little traction outside of a few RINO bloggers that they had to repeat the same phony hitpiece three times...and it STILL didn't work.
Sorry, but conservatives just aren't being fooled.
Oh, it does.
But it's not too smart of you to light it up while you're the one standing in the middle of the pyre, though...
to the best of my knowledge, i've never met jerry seeper. at present, i have no personal or financial relationship with the washington times or upi and no one is paying me to post anything on free republic and no one ever has.
LOL...
Your post is much more interesting for what it doesn't say than for what it does say...
Why do you think it necessary to constantly dumb down your punctuation and spelling here, "PDR"? Do you think anyone is fooled by it? We know that a bigtime reporter/consultant/PAC operator like you knows how to use the shift key and spell check, after all...
how does that create a conflict of interest for me?
I think not. I have been critical of the SPLC when they have gone overboard. Also someone that was possibly wrongly accused by them I have attempted to clear up. The main reason I amin reason I follow the Splc has really nothing to do with the minutemen but the fact that keep track of the Council of Conservative citizens and soem of the alliances they have made. In fact because of that I am able to even warn organizations that I disagree with to be sure to stay clear of them.
Sorry I not a Rino. I have this weird belief that conservatives should be held to a higher standard than the unhinged left. I find the excuse of "well look at them they do it" not exactly compelling.
Also I have concerns over a few particular organizations. In Particular the Council of Conservative Citizens which is the reincarnation of the White Citizens Councils basically. That organization was dangerous and in fact caused much grief here. I have no desire to see them legitimized by becoming involved in mainstream movements.
BTW, do you know an ex freeper named hchutch?
If an organization has 1,000 volunteers, that doesn't mean all 1,000 are out on patrol or even ON SCENE at any given moment in time.
This dufus writer (article) implies that just because all Minuteman volunteers weren't in a tight little group chasing illegals while holding hands, then there was something amiss.
You use leftist tripe to support your argument on a conservative forum.
Didnt you see the pics of the ACLU "Observers" smoking dope?
That's what they were doing in the spring of '05.
Anything they put out is worthless and partisan.
Since you use them as a source of information you should be able to defend all of their practices and sources including the NYT, the Compost and whatever other source you wish to use to slime volunteer organizations.
What's next, are you going to use the Soros, Gates or Moveon org foundations as gospel for information on a conservative volunteer organization which you wish to slime?
Nah, you just post their drivel to make your point.
