What I really do not understand--never have--is why people take the time to post "Who cares? I don't care" on a thread. I wish I had that kind of time to waste!
Oh gee- Thanks Mom! I don't know WHERE we would all BE if it weren't for our anal-retentive, sniffy little "perfeck-people".
My point WAS that I don't care HOW she spends her money. I don't care if she even buys herself a gold-plated toenail clipper. She had an idea and ran with it. In spite of the tone of the article, I'm GLAD she proved, as so many others have, that "only in America...". God bless her and I look forward to there being many more like her.
And YOU...? Can drop five and punt to the right.
Here's an idea - form a coherent thought and you can spend two days doing something other than coming up with a rant to blame someone else because you're to lazy to string more than two words together.
Here's a better idea, Buttercup- Get over it.
What does JK Rowling do with her money?
Whatever she wants. It's her money.
"He's a good role model."
Oh, please. I don't care if he lives like Faust, hires hookers and eats Twinkies for breakfast. It's his money.
Anybody tell you what to do with your money?
I was over it. Two days ago. Lighten up, if you get this crazy over a Harry Potter thread - I'd hate to see you worked up over something really important. Now, go do some yoga and stop bugging me, 'sweetie'.
She does some book signings, etc, for charity functions, but these are mostly for organizations battling childhood diseases and other non-controversial causes. Her books tend towards conservatism. The Ministry of Magic is phenomenally incompetent and corrupt. There's a very strong Libertarian streak in her writings, also.
What I really do not understand--never have--is why people take the time to post "Sinner sinner sinner!" I wish I had that kind of time to waste!
I don't know if you're a regular on the HP threads but my posting of "sinner sinner sinner!" was more or less a continuance of a running joke. I read the thread (and I'm on the HP ping list) because I enjoy the books, so my posting isn't really a waste of time, is it? Not as much as, say, someone with no interest in the subject who takes the time to hit the thread, post "who cares?", and then stick around to defend the idiotic statement.
I don't have any problem with how she lives. She earned every penny through her own creativity and effort. Good for her!
