I will actually be flying the evening of 9/11 so I'll only get to see the first part on 9/10. I don't have a DVR but maybe I'll have to get one before then - or else find a way to watch it with someone else later.....
p.s. I had some trepidation booking an airline ticket (Philly - SLC for 9/11 but it fit my schedule and I then decided I'd be a real wuss if I didn't take a simple flight on that date compared to what all our great Marines and soldiers and airmen and sailors do every day in the Middle East, etc. So I went ahead and booked my ticket before I knew about this documentary...... I'll be in the friendly skies, I hope, as the 2nd half of this documentary airs....
Oh..my.
You will have a nervous flight I bet.
Do you have any family with a vcr recorder? or a neighbor??
If you can't find anyone, I will record it for you...and mail you the tape.
bttt
Thanks, a friend of mine has a DVR so I should be able to get it here, but your offer is much appreciated!!
Yes, it could be a bit of a white-knuckle flight if anything out of the ordinary happens, but I figure there are thousands of flights every day so hopefully that one will be nothing unusual..... but I'll be ready to tackle someone if I need to!!
I saw an ad for this on ABC. The teasers they played implied greatly that the show will point a ton of fingers at Clinton. I, knowing this is on ABC, am skeptical and feel that this may very well be bait to get conservatives to watch the show when it will show a nice light on Clinton and friends.
Does anyone know how Govindini Murty leans? Is there any real chance that he's simply touting this show to bait conservatives into watching a Clinton love fest? Does this tinfoil make me look fat?

I haven't got to the abortion episode yet, but I have heard about it. I just finished the halfway point in Season 2, with Adama sending ships to attack the Pegasus.
But with the way the shows writers have handled everything else, I can only imagine that the abortion episode has many facets and sides to the argument.
Taken in the context of the show, allowing abortion makes no sense, they need to pro-create and increase their numbers just for the sake of survival.
I noticed they haven't broached the homosexual topic yet, and I hope they don't. There is no need for that in this show. But if they do, I'm sure it will be handled in the same way they've handled other topical issues within the context of the show.
But what I like about it is that the writers never say, "This is the bad idea," or "This is the good idea," they presnet both sides equally and fairly and allow the viewer to decide.
Many times I've sided with Adama and many times I have thought he was wrong. Same with President Roslin. And that is the sign of good writing. Creating characters with depth and situations that are relatable.
I feel the same way...
That day the woman went crazy on the flight from Britain here...I posted on a thread...that I would have tackled her or anyone myself before letting them try to take the plane down..
THAT may be the most lasting valuable lesson we learned on 9/11.
A real anomaly that is for sure.
Do they put this stuff on DVDs?
Thanks! Will set the DVR now, before I forget.

<< The astonished CIA agent on the ground in Afghanistan repeatedly asks Berger if this is really what the administration wants. Berger refuses to answer, and then finally just hangs up on the agent.
Should have gone ahead and eliminated the bastard anyway! >>
AND bin Ladin!
My thoughts exactly. But then we don't know if Gorelick is mentioned or not.
There were alot of credible criticisms of the 9-11 Commission Report. They better mention those as well.
Good idea, Mo1. I've calendared to watched/tape the show and if I'm home, I'll participate in a live thread.
Thanks for the ping, will tape it since we are flying to Manchester, England on Sept 11th.
If you do a live thread please include me on ping list.
Will do, SE Mom.
I may watch, but I am having a real hard time believing that ABC will show something truthful and pro American.
Yes, please. :-)
