Someone obviously has too much time on his hands.
As someone I once knew who was at Marine boot camp at Parris Island said, "You could always tell the Yankees from the Rebs. When a snake was spotted the Yankees ran in the opposite direction while the Rebs raced to see who would get the snakeskin".

It would have been funny, in a rude sort of way, had they not used
actual rattlesnakes. That part was stupid.
