I guess I'll splurge tonight and buy Anchor Steam instead of Budweiser.

12 am Aug 22nd in Tehran arrives at 4:30 EST. Just over two hours. I truly hope they do something...

"a date that marks an important historic event on the Islamic calendar."
Every day represents an important historical event on the Islamic calendar. When your religion spends all of its time murdering people, you're inevitably going to have a lot of history to keep track of.

No, it is Tuesday. That comes right after Monday, which often feels like Doomsday, though.

I plan to vote in the Alaska primary tomorrow. It's good to have a plan in case the end of the world is postponed. Action averts anxiety.

I truly hope they do nothing. I've about had my fill of that area of the world. If they do something, we're going to be stuck there forever, and a lot of people are going to die. No thanks.

Well over the next hour or two, it will be August 22 in the Middle East. It's put up or shut up time. By the time we go to bed tonight, we'll have a good idea or not if it was all just blather. I'm glad Aug 22 is here already just so we can stop yapping about it.
My mortgage payment is due on Wednesday so I have a funny feeling the world is still going to be around.
