My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9
When a new highway loop was being completed in West Michigan, a real danger was discovered. The bridges had been designed to bear their own weightbut not the traffic they were intended to carry. Before the highway could be opened, several bridges had to be re-engineered and rebuilt.
Engineers have to be especially concerned with the tensile strength of the material in their construction plans for structures that are required to bear large amounts of stress due to weight. Tensile strength is the maximum amount of stretching a material can withstand before it tears. If the engineer miscalculates, the structure may collapse under the pressure.
When we are under the weight of stress and hardship, we may wonder whether our Lord, who engineered us, has miscalculated our personal tensile strength. We are certain that we are going to collapse under the weight of the trials, but our Designer knows exactly what we can handle by His grace. He knows our limits and will never permit more than we can bear. As Bible teacher Ron Hutchcraft said, God may send a load, but He never sends an overload!
Reinforced by the steel of Gods provision, our tensile strength wont fail.

Photographer who shot Iwo Jima flag-raising dies at 94
SAN FRANCISCO
- Joe Rosenthal, The Associated Press photographer who won a Pulitzer Prize for his immortal image of World War II servicemen raising an American flag over battle-scarred Iwo Jima, has died. He was 94.
On Feb. 19, 1945, 30,000 Marines landed on the southeast coast. Mount Suribachi, at 546 feet the highest point on the island, took four days for the troops to scale. In all, more than 6,800 U.S. servicemen died in the five-week battle for the island, and the 21,000-man Japanese defense force was virtually wiped out.
We didn't fool around about winning a war then.

I just want to say thank you SO much to all of you that support us and what we do. I just returned from a 6-month tour in Iraq and your prayers and support is what helped me and my fellow troops through it. Believe me, your prayers and support are felt by every soldier, sailor, airman, and marine that is defending this great country, so keep it up and God bless!!

WASHINGTON, Aug. 21, 2006 - Nationally syndicated columnist Jacey Eckhart has turned from pen to microphone in an effort to help military families tackle unique issues they face.
CinCHouse.com and Operation Homefront recently launched "The Jacey Eckhart Show" on San Diego's KCBQ 1170 AM, Meredith Leyva, Operation Homefront and CinCHouse.com founder, said in an Operation Homefront news release. The 8 a.m. Sunday morning show features discussions, interviews and listener call-ins on topics ranging from marriage and parenting to Tricare benefits.
"No one but Jacey can be so hysterically funny about the serious topics we deal with in the military," Leyva said. "We are proud to have Jacey as a host."
Additionally, Operation Homefront will provide a weekly update including community outreach requests for specific services to assist military families with unmet needs.
The show, launched with the support of USAA, the Military Officers Association of America, TriWest Healthcare and Military Spouse Magazine, has global reach thanks to the Internet, Leyva said. It's available live on the KCBQ Web site, and CinCHouse.com offers the show as a podcast.
Eckhart's show also has been picked up by WMET 1160 AM in Washington, Leyva said. It airs there Saturdays at 1 p.m.
"We are the busiest generation of military spouses our country has ever known," Eckhart said. "The one thing we need to make time for is to talk to each other and listen to all the great strategies other spouses are using to jump through military life."
Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization providing assistance to military families while servicemembers are deployed, according to the organization's Web site. Operation Homefront also operates CinCHouse.com, an online community of military spouses and women in uniform.
The group is a member of the Defense Department's America Supports You program, which highlights grassroots and corporate support for U.S. military members.
Thank you Dubya, I enjoy reading their Thanks
