to all:
No human is indigenous to the North American continent !
Several flavors of Siberan-Americans did get in on the first several human migrations.
Using his bonehead reasoning below the several Indian linguistic groups that probably represent several waves of migrations/conquests better give it back (or at least pay reparations!) to those that preceded them. (For example somebody has got to give something back to the Mound Builders !)The Indo-Eurpeans should stayed home on the steppes of central Asia. The Aryans should give back India & the Celts should give Europe back to the Basques ... and the the list goes on. (Hey maybe the Cro-Magnons should give it all back to the Neanderthals !)
The hard rule of existence is, 'its only yours if you can keep it!'

First things first, no one is excusing our border situation on this thread.
Secondly, why sneak someone through a desert on a mission when you can just as easily find someone who isn't on our list and fly them in???
It's only a 7-8 hour flight from London, 8-9 from other parts of Europe. Whereas the other methods could take weeks to months.

Buchanan's a demonstrated racist. David Duke might get a fact or two correct from time to time as well, but it's really hard to get past his history.
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
Very democrat of you. Brand him a racist rather than rationally refute his contention about illegal immigration. As long as you can assinate his character you don't have to speak to his point. Kerry just called Joe Lieberman a Dick Chaney on Iraq so he wouldn't have to refute Lieberman about the war. So if Rush Limbaugh says something is it automatically right because he said it?

When did Mexicans fly planes into buildings? The learning curve will surely level out soon.

So if Rush Limbaugh says something is it automatically right because he said it? Who the hell is this Limbo person?
Most folks gave up AM radio in the 70's.
Never heard of him / her.

You can't ever separate the person from the writing. That's a very very bad thing to get into.
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
A very bad thing? You mean evil or stupid, or dysfunctional? I look at statements and asses their validity. I have heard some very profound things come out of very average peoples mouths, and I have heard some very dumb things come from the mouths of people I otherwise respect, such as my ex-wife.(smile)
To: Crazieman
I'm afraid you're right. Pat's right on this one.

So illegal immigration is the new sacred cow on FR?No, but you're about to be salisbury steak.
To: photodawg
You are wrong.
You are hyper-sensitive. Pat Buchanon is an ass.
Hitler's main arguments couldn't stand up to debate and logical arguments. Much of what Buchanan says can easily be refuted. That doesn't, however, refute the point he is trying to make about the cultural demise of western civilization.
Whatever the heck that mess is supposed to add up to.
That needs to be discussed rationally in the context of illegal immigration, islamo facism, and the industrialization of the third world.
If Pat is usually so easily refuted, why would you choose him as a standardbearer for your proposed "rational" discussion? Wouldn't it be better to give him a rhaetorical pat on the head and send him on his way?
Western institutions will undergo dramatic change for better or worse and europeans will become less and less a factor to the rest of the world given that vast portions of the non-western world want our way of life destroyed.
That's all very nice, truly. We all want what you want. And alot of us would rather not have Pat Buchanon as our fellow traveller.

Another paleocon with delusions of grandeur and a Rome fetish You really don't see and understand what is happening all around you, do you? The truth is staring you in the face and your reply is sarcasm.

When did Mexicans fly planes into buildings?
Well, two things, many Middle Easterners can pass for Mexicans plus Islam is growing in Latin America. Maybe not now, but in the future, the security threath as the ability to increase. Pat is dead on on this issue, I just wish he wasn't so anti-Israeli and realize that the Western World and Israel share this fight against radical Islam.

I always take the messanger in part with the message.
Pat is mostly right on this issue. That said, I can't separate him for this statement from the others.
There are others who have said the same or similar things. Yet some of them aren't anti-semites like Pat is.
See what I'm going for here?
