The name "Kinky Friedman" reminds me too much of the name "Squeaky Fromm".

Willie won't attend any meetings if they don't have lots of pot.
I never knew Willie did dope until I saw him when he wasn't stoned.
To: Dubya
I think Kinky needs to read the Texas constitution. He can't create such a position by himself.

Friedman told the crowd of about 300,....*(his entire voting base).....which roared with laughter throughout his speech.*....I added this

Strange, I'd have thought that Willie would've been more of an expert in taxation laws?
To: Dubya
I'm amazed anyone thinks this guy is funny. Or serious. Or anything.
To: Dubya
Kinky, Grandma, Perry.....what a cadre of characters running for Tx. Governor.

Strange, I'd have thought that Willie would've been more of an expert in taxation laws? It would be more interesting if he were the Agriculture Commssioner, but that is an elected postion not appointed by the governor.

I'm amazed anyone thinks this guy is funny. Or serious. Or anything.Well, they don't make Jews like Jesus anymore.

Willies politics are suspect. The Sheehan ditch b!tch spent time a Willies place recovering recently. Kinky is a socialist, plain and simple.
Rick Perry is a stupid @sshole, but he is our stupid @sshole. And Carole whatever-my-surname-is-this-month is no gem.

I can't believe how many people are falling for this washed up, paleo-hippie, marxist. One person on FreeRepublic actually said 'he is a good guy, he likes dogs and rescues them..' as if that was qualification to run Texas and overlook his leftist attitude.

FORT WORTH - Independent gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman on Friday reiterated his top pick to push an energy plan that emphasizes renewable sources: Willie Nelson.
Friedman told the Fort Worth Rotary Club that singer-songwriter Nelson, who has been a benefactor of biodiesel, was a natural choice to lead a state energy department or commission.
A Texas biodiesel supplier partnered with Nelson to develop the BioWillie brand of the clean-burning fuel for truckers.
It's made from used vegetable oils or soybeans and is blended with diesel.
Nelson is also on the board of directors of Dallas-based Earth Biofuels.

Willies politics are suspect.I've never had any doubt about his politics. He smokes dope, doesn't pay taxes, and thinks it is the job of government to save small inefficient farmers. He is a great songwriter, but that doesn't mean he is perfect.
