I did.
Women and men in their forties, do not even approximate a majority of recent new recruits to active duty DOD service.
Perhaps you should check your own six.
(A simple and widely understood military phrase, you seem to be totally unfamiliar with).
I can see where you might be confused, if you are an ignorant liberal listening to a DOD recruiter B&Ming about rejects wasting his/her valuable time.
But to claim "two generations" of USA men are NOT actively seeking to voluntarily enlist in the USA DOD is an outright lie, and I called you to account on your own erroneous statements on this topic.
Learn to deal with facts.
Or not, but don't expect me or anyone else here to value your stated "feelings/perceptions" over verifiable and proven factual information.
LOL!

Both my discharges are from the army so I don't recognize the phrase, (I think pilots might say it).
I do understand where your mistake is though, I was simply pointing out that with a much larger number of young males available for the army and marines, yet a much smaller number of young men needed than at any time in generations, we are having to use non young males to fill many of our military slots.
Presently there are not enough young men volunteering to fill the relatively small army and marines, that is why we are having to expand the pool of volunteers to include girls , grandmothers and guys in their 40s.
I'm glad my son did his time with the 10th Mt. Div., so that I don't have to include him in the list of no shows among the men of his generation.

I see you are never going to allow mere facts to influence your comprehension of the truth.
Enjoy your version of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!

The facts are, we are having to take people our military has never had to accept, because we can't get enough young men.

The standards for acceptance during wartime into the all voluntary USA DOD are higher than at any time in our history.
No more CAT4s allowed, even during declared wars!
Thank God!
Now as a two term Army person, I am certain you are very familiar with the phrase "CAT4".
Your former branch of the service was the last to allow CAT4s entry into BMTS, and that was over a decade ago.
You do understand that there currently is no draft in the USA, and no need for one, don't you?
And that convicted criminals are no longer given the opportunity to "serve in the military, instead of jail" anymore.

This is what fascinates me, you keep going off in wild directions, draft?, criminals?, I know what is going on in recruiting and I extend a lot of effort to encourage young men to enlist, but they don't in large enough numbers.
I'm only saying when we need so few men, we can't get enough young men to enlist.
This means we actually have to take females and expand the age to include men (and even women)in their 40s.
There is a vast pool of qualified young males, but they will not step up, that is a problem.
I don't understand why you refuse to acknowledge that most of our current pool of young men are willing to let people who aren't young men take their place.
Since the Air Force and Navy are being reduced, the Army started a generous program to accept those men, but they got very few takers.

You are willfully ignorant on this topic.
Whether your ignorance is feigned for effect, or simply due to your own myopia matters little to me.
You have not refuted any of my points about the facts regarding recruitment levels, which tend to dispute your points.
You just keep throwing out false straw man arguments in an attempt to...what exactly is it that you are trying to do?
I have learned nothing from your posts, except that you are seemingly incapable of processing new factual information.
Noted, and bookmarked.

The military is not getting the number of prime young men it needs, it is having to settle for people that aren't young men.
Write that down and learn it.
