On Racial Profiling- An open letter to Arab-Americans

Overreliance on racial/age/gender profiling would be just as dangerous as avoiding it completely. One of the suspects currently being held by the UK in the recent blow-up-planes plot is a young Arab woman who intended to board with her 6 month old baby and a liquid explosive in the baby's bottle. Many years ago, a young blond, blue-eyed, pregnant British gal was caught with a bomb in her bag as she went through security at an airport. She was a ditz who really believed that her Arab boyfriend was in love with her and was going to marry her. She had no idea he had put a bomb in her bag.

I have no PC objections to profiling, but we must be very careful with it, because the more we rely on it, the more the terrorists will rely on using people who don't fit the profile. They will stop at nothing to achieve their evil objectives. They wouldn't hesitate to use an Alzheimer's-afflicted, wheelchair-bound elderly person by stuffing pouches of liquid or gel explosives into his/her bodily orifices.

We need to focus on obliterating people who hold this ideology, because it's simply impossible to maintain a free, civilized society, where we don't do body-cavity searches on demented elderly folks boarding planes, while playing an endless game of whack-the-mole with fanatical barbarians.

These beautiful ladies would probably be held up and miss their flight.
