YIKES!
It must be much more serious than just a down turn in donations! They're trying to cook the books.
And Simcox parroted that last sentence, when he was on O'Reilly and the same garbage about doing everything in a timely fashion. The only thing is, the MCDC is on its SECOND

YEah this site has been out for about a month I think. Joe MucCutheon was commenting and complaing about it on one of those goofy league of the South internet shows. More money for response Enterprises and more mailing list.

playing the some conservatives are jealous of others card is pretty lame.
Not totally unexpected, but I figured that we would EV-entually see it :)

It's right out of the owner of the octopus companies' play-book. EV-entually, it was bound to be played.

"..Must be some serious hurt going on in the fundraising department for this to be put out."
Gotta be. They show all the signs, first the stonewall, then the denunciations of the critics.

Please listen. This is not as much a border control issue as it is an accountability issue. The majority of people here at FR are very concerned about the border and the protection of it. The issue HERE is whether good, Patriotic citizens are being taken for a ride.bump

If they could have come up with a way to make this group a LLC, they might not be having this problem. If I'm not mistaken that wouldn't make them tax exempt, but basically they could still take donations and report what they wanted to the IRS. What the IRS and the folks doing the donating don't know won't hurt them, right? Hey, if you are gonna cheat people, do it the "right" way.

"Dear Supporters and Allies of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps,"
"It is an unfortunate fact of life that some conservatives are jealous of the success of others. These individuals believe that somehow someone else has received credit for ideas and projects that they would have come up with, or executed, if only they had the resources, and the credibility. They are angry that someone else has invaded their turf. It doesnt matter that the successes of others are a result of the others creativity, hard work, and persistence. It only matters to these individuals that someone else is receiving credit and they are not."
WHO AND WHAT IS SIMCOX TALKING ABOUT. THIS IS NOT A FACTUAL DOCUMENT. WHY NOT JUST SAY NAMES AND WHAT TURF HE TALKING ABOUT? AND IF SOMEONE IS ALSO TAKING CREDIT FOR WHAT?
THE FACT IS SIMCOX NOR GILCRIST SHOULD NEED ANY BIG CREDIT FOR EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN EXPOSED OVER THE YEARS ABOUT THE BORDER, THEY WERE THERE THEN THEY LEFT AND TELL THE MESSAGE TO OTHERS AROUND THE COUNTRY. OTHERS, MANY OTHERS STILL LIVE THERE AND DO NOT ASK FOR ANYTHING.
IF THIS LETTER OR 'PROTECTION PROGRAM' CAN NOT STATE THE NAMES AND FACTS, WHAT THE HE!! IS IT PROTECTING AND WHO IS IT ACCUSING OF WHAT?
THIS IS JUST THE WRONG STUFF FOR THEM TO PUT UP ON THE WEB, IT WILL NOT HELP BUT HIRT EVERYTHING FOLKS HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DO FOR SUCH A LONG TIME. THE WHOLE MESS IS VERY BAD AND NOW HAS BECOME A SUBJECT THAT TAKES AWAY TIME IT SETS MANY BACK AND DOES NOT ALLOW SOME PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD IN THIS MOVEMENT.

Oh yeah. My previous post here, #111, is purely hypothetical and sarcastic. Surely no one would do such a thing.

Must be some serious hurt going on in the fundraising department for this to be put out.It has a definite "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" sound to it, doesn't it?
I like the way they added a bit of conspiracy theory, and ties to the Bush administration, into the mix....
Who's this Gary Kreep? I've heard that name before somewhere.

That is right! They did not mention the fence. This is one of O'Reilly's pet issues, of course he's not going to mention anything about the fence.

"As many groups do, MCDC is applying for non-profit status with the federal government. Due to this, and as a result of internal decisions to be as open as possible about MCDCs finances, MCDC is undergoing an independent audit. The results of the audit will be filed with the federal government as part of the non-profit application process, and, as a result, will become a public document, available from MCDC upon request."
As we know from experience, the non profit application process takes at most about six months from application submittal to decision. Are they telling us they are just now getting around to starting the process? The wording they use sounds like they are still in the process of filling out the application...which takes about an hour.
Part of the application involves filling out a fairly simple cash and expense statement for the last two years with at a two year projection. The application itself becomes a public record so it will be available. If, however, this is what they plan on making public it will be totally inadequate for the purposes of this inquiry.
If they don't release the full report and results of the "independent audit", they are hiding something.

Perhaps if she spoke in Spanish, the anti-borders, anti-"vigilante", anti-deportation, anti-anyone who dares criticizes Bush" crowd, might comprende? Opposing Jim and Tammy Faye Baker did not equate to Satanism. Asking "Where's the fence?" does not equate to speaking Spanish.
Look at the people posting to these threads. They are nearly all folks who suffer from cognitive dissonance when it comes to President Bush who have wanted the Minutemen to fail from the start. An extremely disingenuous bunch.
