I'll take a stab at this..So, the Times didn't print it right away, and they lied why they didn't.

Thanks, much clearer now. :)

What else has Bill Keller and the NYTs lied about?

Most things. MSM existentially publicizes propaganda for pet causes as well as paying customers.

LGF Exclusive: How Much Does It Cost to Buy Global TV News?

. . .

A Separate Service for Arab States

However, there is another significant part of their business model that affects the rest of the business. While most of the world takes news pictures with minimal interpretation beyond editing, the Arab Gulf States have asked for and receive a different and far more expensive service. These states pay for a complete news report service including full editing and voice overs from known journalists. The news organizations in the Arab countries don’t do anything (beyond verify that they are appropriate for local tastes) before broadcast.

What this means is that while there are around 50 people producing news pictures for the whole world working in Camden at any time, there are a further 50 Arabic speaking staff producing finished stories exclusively for the Arab states of the gulf. This has a tremendous effect on the whole feel of the building as these two teams feed pictures and people back and forth and sit in adjacent work areas. The slant of the stories required by the Gulf States has a definite effect on which footage is used and discarded. This affects both the Gulf newsroom and the main global newsroom.

This full service feed is much more expensive for the customers than the usual service, but it is also much higher margin for APTN. This is partly because there is great commonality in what they can send to most of the Gulf States taking this service: stories are made once and used in a number of countries.

Back in the early-mid 80's, I regularly did the NYTimes crossword puzzle (I did it so often, I still remember the editor, Eugene T. Maleska.) I haven't since. Been free of lies from them for about 20 years now.

John Kerry and the Democrats had castigated Bush for the lack of visible effort to find and track terrorists, and the program's exposure would have forced Kerry to recant and suddenly argue that Bush had been too enthusiastic about fighting terrorism, a tough pirouette to execute in a grueling presidential campaign.

Rule 1 of Liberalism: Facts, logic, and consistency are irrelevant.

Truly the Demwit pundits amaze me. When they are called on their own illogic, they don't even miss a beat. They just twist and spin and continue their speels...while sounding good but making absolutely no sense.

They then published it later when they thought it might do some damage.

...or when they could no longer hold it because their own reporter's book was coming out the next month, revealing the same classified data.

Most astonishing to me is that the ombudsman hasn't quit. Isn't the very essence of his job to keep the publication HONEST?! So now he finds out the paper was lying to him and he...writes a column. I swear, libs aren't even embarrassed anymore when they're shown to be peddling lies.

This blogger incorrectly assumes that all of his readers have sufficient background information to follow his rant. This is a classic failing of illogical, emotionally driven people. It is generally characteristic of teenagers and radical leftwing pundits.
