Lovely. This is a thread to show our support for the Israelis and here you come with the DU party line. "Black Jew hater"?
Are you kidding me with that stuff?

Do you suppose conservative Catholic support for Israel has something to do with the fact that you have title to some of the most holy real estate on planet Earth?

In return, Israel, we ask of you only one thing. And it is for your own good.

Do not return to the status quo.

You must win something, take something, from your enemy that is irreplaceable. Something they deeply care about.

Not their lives, they care little if they or their comrades die. Even their women and children hold little value to them. There are more, always more, to pick up the gun.

But what do they continually complain about?: land. It is what they crave, what they demand, what they lust for.

And while Lebanon is one issue, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are another. In Gaza, you should have a policy to take away land for each and every attack. A slice of land adjacent to Israel, and to be fair, paid for to its owner at a fair market price for such land.

The wall will be extended around that land, and that land shall remain fallow, with no buildings, crops, trees or any other development. No person shall be allowed on that land except the Israeli army. It will be their training ground.

And it will be non-refundable. It will no longer be part of the Gaza Strip. And for each and every attack, more and more land will be taken until the Palestinians are shoulder to shoulder. Either they will stop their violence, or they will be pushed into Egypt.

This is not ethnic cleansing. The reasonable choice is theirs. It in no way oppresses them to demand a stop to their violence. It is no way different than putting violent criminals in prison.

But more than anything else, it ends the status quo. Either they *stop*, for good, or they cease to live in Gaza.

You have tolerated them for too long. You can do what is proposed, or Israel will be destroyed, or Israel will have to take acute, drastic and far less humane actions. And even then, there will be not end to it.

The balance must be changed, the status quo ended. Make an end to it.

No need to thank us; Israel is a microcosm of what the West will face if the fascists should win....

To any thinking person, Israel’s fate is very much tied to ours...We have much in common, one being the survival of our very way of life....IMHO...

May God Bless and Protect our President and Troops as they bring the fight to the enemies of Freedom....

I agree. Take the temple mount and rebuild the temple of solomon that supposed to be there. Islam is a false demonic cult of death.

It is too big a step to expect Israel to raze the Al-Aqsa mosque, at least in the near future. But it points to a larger problem.

Lots of religions claim holy sites in Israel. Then they argue and bicker with each other and Israel over "their property".

Israel should nationalize *all* holy sites, and then for a nominal sum, *rent* their use to those religions that lay claim to them. In addition, holy sites could no longer be used as dormatories. Everybody working there would have to have some dwelling in town.

This would mean that the use of any holy site is dependent on good behavior. Any modifications made have to be pre-approved. Any misbehavior could result in the loss of privileges.

If the Wahabbis who run the al-Asqa mosque cut up rough again, or tried to start another riot, or permitted pilgrims to throw rocks at Israelis praying at the West Wall, then its management could be turned over to the Sufi sect.

This would utterly freak out the Wahabbis, scaring them more than any threat from the police.

On the plus side, since many Christian holy sites are subdivided by sects, with only tiny areas for each sect, by *renting* them, each sect could have the *entire* holy site for a period of time. This would allow them to serve more pilgrims, in much roomier circumstances, especially on holy days.

Eventually, the al-Asqa mosque will come down. There are far too many people both inside and outside of Israel who want to see it leveled. But the important question remains: does the Israeli government have the cajones to rebuild the temple; or will they bow to incredible pressure and allow the Saudis to rebuild al-Asqa?

"Bush calls himself a compassionate conservative. This is what's wrong with that."

Yeah, actually the compassionate conservative idea I believe was more in the direction of domestic policy anyway, in the context of reducing federal entitlements but still enabling the downtrodden the opportunity to rise up. I don't think it was supposed to carry over to the war on Islamofascism.

President Bush has been called the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House.

It is true because he understands the big picture..........as God has written it.

May GOD go with Israel! And may she triumph over an evil foe!

WE ARE WITH YOU, ISRAEL!! All the way to VICTORY!

Please use reason, and not raw emotion as you assess the situation.

Your conclusion is as far from reality as it could possibly be.

What other choice is there? It is the choice between freedom and slavery, hope and despair, life and death. We will not live under Islamic chaos. We, like you, choose not to SUBMIT.

Back in 1948, Israel needed recognition as a sovereign nation, but, I don't think it was a good thing either for the USA or Israel to be in a unholy alliance with the UN.

I was watching a TV program the other day about this Jewish man, and he said that some Jews are afraid to accept Jesus Christ ( Yeshua ) as Lord , Messiah , and Saviour because they are afraid to lose their " Jewishness " , but, he said that when he accepted Jesus Christ, he realized his " Jewishness " even more.
He said that it was as if someone lifted a veil from his eyes ( a new revelation ) and he could see the history of Israel and all the symbols of the OldTestiment in a greater and new light.
