Yes, I understand he did his part to stall a resolution that he instructed be made. How weird.
Thank you for reposting that for me. That would be good if it could happen like that.
"I pray that the soldiers taken by Hamas and Hezbollah come home."
I was not at all confident that this will happen as one news report stated that Nazaralla didn't like the "return of prisoners" part. I'm thinkin the teeny so-called democracy in Lebanon is a sham when a Hezzie can call off any "piece agreement" and order the government around like they're doing. Additionally all those years the UN was in there turns out to be total BS. I am more worried about Iran and their surprise on Aug. 22nd.
These people are fanatic zealots that won't be happy until every Jew and Christian is dead. Dreadful situation!
I care not for Condoleeza Rice's so-called diplomacy being worked in the UN. It sickens me that Annan has the opportunity to pontificate about how disappointed he is in the so called long time in coming cease fire agreement, whilst Rice just responds by "thanking" Annan. We have nothing for which to thank Annan. He is only responsible for aiding and abetting through sins of commission wholesale genocide around the world, and outright supports terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas by seeking at every turn to tie the hands of western democracies such as Israel and the US who are trying to bring sanity to the world by confronting such terrorist organizations and the nations that harbor them. Annan is complicit in crimes against humanity by working to give Hezbollah an opportunity to re-arm during this so-called "cease fire".
It is now very clear why my "arm chair commando" comment (that wasn't even directed to you) stung you so bad.
Why don't you stop talking and do something to help Israel if you're so sick about it. Or, instead you could sit on your butt 4,000 miles away and post about how a grown man should act.
Following me around? Nothing better to do with your little life?
As he responds. wow.
All I can tell you is that it has been quite some time since I've frequented FR and the number of nuke them all and arm chair commandos is getting ridiculous.
Stated that way, I agree.
This kind of diplomacy has given us 50 years of terrorism and has only served to strengthen the terrorist cause over the years. Tell Annan thanks but no thanks. He is the cause not the solution. After all, Annan has the audacity to suggest that we are the problem. The UN is irrelevant to any solution, to any problem, anywhere on this planet.
I agree 100%! I could never be a diplomat. I would have stood up at a Security Counsel meeting and told Kofi Annan. To shove it a long time ago. And actually the US under Bush did do that when we according to Kofi, "defied international law" by going in to topple Saddam. This administration is not afraid to act in defiance of the UN when it is necessary to defend our national security.
