Sometimes it's a great thing that elections last so long. In this case, we're gonna watch the Lamont team totally fall apart, much like the Dean team [insert scream here].

Democrat Ned Lamont's campaign manager said he will send an apology to the mayor of Waterbury for describing the city that backed his opponent, Sen. Joe Lieberman, as a place "where the forces of slime meet the forces of evil." I guess he belatedly realized that Lamont was going to really need the votes from the Democratic town in question that he just insulted in order to get elected in November.
To: SmithL
If elected, Lamont will be Connecticut answer to Cynthia McKinney...

Lamont will not get elected. A lot of republicans and independants voted for him to force Joe to run as an independant.

Ain't hate grand. It can win elections to please left wing cukoos, and it can blow up planes to kill those same left wing cukoos, and they don't know the difference.
To: MarkT
You summed it up nicely. I can't wait for the Connecticut freak show.
To: SmithL
"where the forces of slime meet the forces of evil." A case of projection if ever there was one. This pretty much describes the Lamont campaign.

Whatever the despicable child-molesting behavior of its Rowlandite former mayor Jailbird Giordano and of Rowland himself, Waterbury is the most socially conservative major Connecticut city. Its current mayor, Mike Jarjura is a conservative Catholic who was a very socially conservative state representative and, when challenged in a legislative primary by a pro-abort, pro-homosexual challenger, was offered the GOP nomnation, declined it and beat the social revolutionary in the primary.
I don't think anything good of Rowland, described in Red Ned's campaign manager's phony apology as "evil." Normal Americans would think that Giordano molesting a thirteen or fourteen year old girl whom he rented from her prostitute mother would be at least as evil as Rowland's petty corruptions but, hey, Red Ned is a Demonrat leftist and would not want to offend constituency groups like child molesters.
Waterbury will anchor Lieberman's re-election victory.

No, it was not good politics. Still it was just someone mouthing off. I'm sick of all the apologies.
It has gotten to a point where I end up defending people whose views I dislike. I have no respect for wimps who come unglued at every statement and need to see their therapist.
