There certainly is a pregnant silence on NYT's part over this. The "We shudder to think," Washington Times editorial must've hit home with them.

Minority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat Oh, cmon' Doug. How dare you insult Mr. Reid like that? His proper title is "Senate Democratic Leader." And if you don't believe me, you can ask him.
