That was not her point, I believe. Instead, her point was:

The path of jihad is the path of terror. Using terror, the jihadists believe that they can destroy the confidence of citizens of free societies and so coerce them to bend to their will.

And it can't be denied that the jihadists have enjoyed some success in corroding the will of free societies. The Connecticut Democrat primary is a perfect example of that. So is the feckless drift in Europe. Plus, and most important in her personal case, is the lackluster leadership of Ohmert.

The jihadists can never win this war on the battlefield. But they CAN win it in the pages of the New York Times, the halls of Congress and in the Israeli cabinet.

My take on this article is that we are in the darkest time before start of dawn.

I disagree. I believe that Iran will succeed in buildng a nuke, and attack Israel with it, or that Pakistan will fall to the Islamists and its nuclear weapons will be used on India, or that North Korea will nuke Japan, or that any of these three scenarios could result in one or more American cities taking a nuke. There will follow a short but spectacularly deadly war in which the West removes all remaining threats against it once and for all.

We all have to all hang in there during the worse of the times.

The News Media has not helped the situation a bit. They managed to convince some 60% of the Americans to be against the Iraq War as well against the War on Terror!

It may take another 9/11 to really wake them up!
