(Soros is a communist goon, controlled by communist goons.)
Ford was "alienating our mutual customers.""Gay Pickup" is not a sales winner in Texas.

Make the gays walk!
Seriously, you people need to get a life.

Why??
I don't care if somebodt is gay or not....none of my business.
However, THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF CAPITALISM. Right here. Voting with dollars. There are many car/truck choices. Folks have the right to support businesses that they deem moral and to NOT support those who run contrary to their values.
I think it is one of the most beautiful things in the world....no matter which way the money flows...

I 100% support the position the dealers are taking here. Just like entertainers, Ford should stick to what they (used to) do, sell cars. They aren't a social conscience or a politician. That said, how did all these fine wholesome folks in Texas run across an ad titled "Big Gay Love" in gay magazine??

Bill Ford looks like a dork, at a minimum. He wanted to grow grass on the roofs of his factories. He's a real squishy, silver spoon enviro. Ford doesn't know what they are doing with their small cars. Every few years there is a new nameplate and a new supposedly world beater. They ruined the Taurus line. Lincoln line is almost dead. I drove a rented Continental to New York from Boston, round trip. Not a bad driving car, but noting to look at, and the interior was cheap and tacky. Just felt like a fat Crown Vic. Mercurys just seem to be crypto soviet styled Fords. They look like they are the designs that were second place to the Fords. "Oh, yeah," designer reaches in trash can, pulls out paper, "use this one for the Mercurys." Bill Ford is no Lee Iyacocca. Ford trucks seem OK.

USA Today had a piece (August 10, 2006) about the drop off of pickup truck sales. Excerpt:
"Ford feels the pressure mount
The problem is most troubling for Ford. It sold more than 900,000 F-Series pickups in 2004 and 2005, deriving about 30% of its profit from the workhorse trucks. The automaker has lost $1.4 billion through the first half of the year, compared with a $2.1 billion profit in the first half of 2005.
The drop-off in pickup sales, which began in April, forced Ford to accelerate its restructuring plan, which the automaker announced in January. Ford's plans to close seven manufacturing plants, including one of the plants that build the F-150, by the end of 2008 will be sped up, Fields says."

This is one boycott that may be working! Great!

That's a good take. Bill Ford runs his company like he feels guilty he's building autmobiles.
