Al Quaida has just given Lieberman an edge over his peace loving, Pacifist opponent Ned Lamont.
Lamont tells us there is no real danger. This will flush Lamont out on National Security issues.
Lieberman has always been correct on those issues, and the contrast is highlighted by today's events.

I don't agree with Joe much on domestic issues, but I think I'd probably cross the aisle to vote for him in Connecticut, just to stick it to Lamont and the MoveOnMoonbats.

Joe isn't exactly a great thinker. I suppose it's our low opinion of Dems that this passes for brilliance.

That's the way to stick it to this Lamont weinie. He couldn't find his way to the men's room when it comes to terrorism. And he's probably more than happy to just sit on his hands and soil his pants.

"How the heck can we be in a battle in which we are fighting as Democrats and Republicans against each other when these terrorists certainly don't distinguish based on party affiliation? They want to kill any and all of us." Wow! He makes a good point there. Wonder if any of his brethren in the Dem Party are taking note?

Sounds like the Rat party has left Joe, not the other way around.

Joe "gets it" because he got his butt kicked. He's still a democrat.

So much for the Rat Party appealing to the middle as not being soft on defense.

In spite of all my issues against his voting record, Joe "GETS IT."Agreed. Which is why I will be (gulp!) voting for him this November. As much as I disagree with his philosophy, his take on the WOT far exceeds any issue I may have with his liberal leanings.

Joe's ALWAYS been a stalwart supporter of the War on Terror. That's why the moonbats in his own party hate him. This isn't expediency, Lieberman's been there all along on this one.

Wow! He makes a good point there. Wonder if any of his brethren in the Dem Party are taking note? They have to take a poll to make up their minds, first. As long as they keep using MoveOn as their polling agency, they've got nothing to worry about.

Joe "gets it" because he got his butt kicked. He's been good (not perfect, but good) on security issues for a long while now.
Losing just freed him up to take on the anti-war Dems rather than play footsie with them.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought he was still a Senator and that every Senator has a lot of authority.
To: West Coast Conservative
Joe is essentially going directly after the conservative vote. At this point he knows he stands a better chance of getting Republicans to vote for him than to change the mind of the Democrats who have him tagged as a traitor to the party. The real question here is will he be able to combine enough Republicans and Democrats to pull off an overall victory in a blue state? I'm leaning towards yes.

The loonie-left tossing Joe aside and supporting Lamont may have been the best thing that could happen to Joe. Perhaps now we'll see the real Joe Leiberman step up to the plate and show his colours. By the looks of things his first step is in the right direction.
