Feel free to ask for any clarifications.

Why would we need to? It's obvious that clarification is your strong suit.

Your inability to recognize leadership makes your responses of little worth.

Spouting the DU line makes them of less.

thanks for this post...just had lunch with a friend who sounded a little down since she doesn't know how to dig deep and find anything good right now. I passed this article along to her to back up my saying, "hang in there, it's gonna be okay." If anything our side is smart and some of US tried staying home and elected KLINTOON but hopefully we learned. The Conn election helped arouse the "sleeping giant" just a little and then today "England" helped a little more and before November have an unfortunate feeling something else will come along to keep them all enthusiastic enough to VOTE.

Apparently the entire Congress and clearly the President.

Let me give you a clue. More than 1% of the electorate are conservatives.

You suggest that socialists are in control of the GOP? You are out of your cotton pickin' mind.

It's still a Representative Republic in concept, and thanks for that. But in many ways, we are a direct democracy. Think about how much influence out of state organizations have in a senatorial election. Used to be, the senators were appointed by the state legislatures, and therefore, people rightly had a great interest in who they elected to the state legislature. Now with all that campaign money pouring in from out of state and essentially brainwashing the useful idiots among us, we now have people in other states voting by proxy in senatorial elections they should have no part of. Possibly even of more concern, the voters are distracted by the glamor of a national election and therefore pay less attention to local/state politics. That's a lose/lose and it's at least the beginnings of a direct democracy. There's a reason the founders wanted states to appoint senators.

On the contrary, I'm enjoying giving the spanking. And I'm enjoying watching "old" people act like children.

After all your posts and all this time you still haven't fooled anybody except yourself.

I have a feeling you are using the "Don Quixote approach" sans windmills.

Buddy, Speaker Hastert torpedoed the Senate immigration bill. He did so in large part due to the influence of the conservative base of the GOP and Rep. Tancredo. Does that evidence a "drastic lack of conservative leadership" in the GOP?

What an idiot. The NRA was not limited AT ALL by CFR. Nor was anyone who is not an idiot. And I would like to see more idiots silenced.

Last election there was MORE advertizing than EVER by groups set up to do so. Like the Swift Boat Vets you have heard of them?

CFR has done nothing except stop political parties (which have no constitutional rights anyway) from using "soft" money at certain times. I would bet $1,000 that you have not even READ the law anyway. So you not only don't know what you are talking about but are willing to show your ignorance to those who have.

Bush signed it into law knowing that to do otherwise would give the Treason Media another club to hammer him over the head. He had MUCH bigger fish to fry.

Whatever. You have yet to seriously challenge any point I made. But that's understandable, it's impossible to defend the actions of the Republican leadership.

Was your brain in your head when you woke up this morning? It isn't fear mongering, if it's real. How do narrow issue, fickle, recalcitrant gripers and FReakers handle this dose of reality and other plots still hatching?

"If you think that you have spotted any one of the five still at large, remember that the FBI has warned: "Approach with caution."

The original 11 Egyptian men, who range in age from 17 to 22, seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

The missing men were part of a group of 17, who arrived at New York City’s John F. Kennedy Airport on July 29.

There is no explanation for their mysterious disappearance and five are still at large.

Although the 11 Egyptian students entered the U.S. on valid passports, they failed to show up at Montana State University as part of a student exchange program.

The lookout bulletin issued on them sates that "At the present there are no known associations to any terrorist groups, approach with caution."

etc., etc. ad nauseum.

What does that have to do with conservatism and where do you get off thinking you somehow have to educate us?

Oh, I have encountered the few nuts who share your can. They not only do not represent FR but don't represent anything. Warmed over Buchananism doesn't frighten any real conservative.
