Putting war and liberals aside, it's almost COLLEGE FOOTBALL TIME!
GO Blue
(even though they have been GO BLOW! or "Missagain" in recent years). Hopefully, U of Mi can put their talent together (Mike Hart stay healthy!)as a team and take revenge against ND and OSU and everyone else. It would be nice to see the Wolverines national champions again.

I cannot stand the Wolverines, but I must admit that they have the best fight song.

Here is Tom Lehrer's entry for Harvard:
Fight fiercely, Harvard,
fight, fight, fight!
Demonstrate to them our skill.
Albeit they possess the might,
Nonetheless we have the will.
How we shall celebrate our victory,
We shall invite the whole team up for tea
(How jolly!)
Hurl that spheroid down the field, and
Fight, fight, fight!
Fight fiercely, Harvard,
fight, fight, fight!
Impress them with our prowess, do!
Oh, fellows, do not let the crimson down,
Be of stout heart and true.
Come on, chaps, fight for Harvard's glorious name,
Won't it be peachy if we win the game?
(Oh, goody!)
Let's try not to injure them, but
Fight, fight, fight!
And do fight fiercely!
Fight, fight, fight!

Hail to the red and the blue
We're the Mustangs from SMU
Give a cheer, show your might
Get the victory in sight
for our battle cry will be
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
Spirits the best in the land
And right to the end we'll stand
For the M-U-S-T-A-N-G-S
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

Ditto - Notre Dame #1, hands down! Agreed. On Wisconsin ain't bad, either -- though so many high schools use it as their own fight song it's a bit hackneyed....

Bieng a Buckeye fan, I do agree UM fight song is the best.ND second AND The true Ohio State fight song-"Buckeye Battle Cry"-(not "Across the Field" that most people think is the OSU fight song), third.

The quote wasn't Keith Jackson... I forget who made it.

I am of the belief that Carr has done all he can with the team and it's time for "new leadership". I always thought it would interesting to see Lou Holtz lead U of M to a national title. Wishful thinking on my part, I know..
