I agree I support Crist as well. I do think Gallagher should stay in and finish the race. Its not like this a heated primary and has been a lot of bloodshed for the democrats to use. It has been a pretty clean primary. it is his choice to make though.

He opposes gay marriages, but "is fine with" civil unions. It won't matter, though, because no civil union bill will ever reach his desk.

I'll vote for the democrat.
Thank you for exposing your true colors. Perhaps you would be more comfortable at a website with like-minded people:

Why would you link to an unidentified blog that opposes Gallagher on the grounds that he's a Christian? Is that your blog?

Gallagher is the better choice for Governor. Crist has RINO characteristics.
It would seem that most Florida Republicans disagree with you. Gallagher is lagging in the polls and his financial support is drying up.

This is VERY strange news. Almost sounds like a feeler to Crist camp. With Crist's possible "lifestyle" problems, what the heck is going on here?
I'll tell you what is going on. Gallagher is coming to terms that he is being left in the dust by Crist.
To: MedNole
Like those who support his homosexual agenda. Like those who agree with George Soros and Peter Singer. Like those who attack Gallagher for being a Christian. You know, those kind of RINOs.

There are plenty of RINOs who support Crist.
If it is only RINO's who are supporting Crist, then Gallagher would beat him handily in the primary. Apperently Crist has pretty wide support in the Republican party.

Yes, Crist's dad handles his checkbook and finances. Crist doesn't own any real property either. It was in the Tampa Tribune today.
BREAKING NEWS - TOM GALLAGHER IS NOT LEAVING THE RACE FOR GOVERNOR. He's not even "considering it".
I repeat: Tom Gallagher is not quitting the race for governor.
He's getting the Katherine Harris treatment and guess what? She's not quitting either.
If you have PING LISTS re: Florida politics, please ping your lists. Thanks, FV

You're right. It's not just the RINOs. Flaming liberals support Crist too.

What is Crist's position on gay marriage?
He is opposed to it, just like President Bush.

In other words, Crist thinks gay marriages should be recognized.
Incorrect. He beleives, just like President Bush, that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

From one of freepers' finest t'wit says:
Charlie Crist's dad handles Charlie's checkbook. I don't know any fifty year old whose parent handles their checkbook and finances. FV

Your blog is a pretty good advertisement for Gallagher. I can see why anyone who hates Christians and conservatives would be convinced by you not to vote for him, but here at FR, this is a glowing endorsement.
Religious nut claims Gallagher walked with Christ
Public comments by the religious right, who endorse a candidate not on experience, credibility or qualifications, but based on whether or not the candidate declares he's found Jesus. are scary issues in the race for the Governor's office.
Religion should have NO place in politics and Gallagher should steer away from the religious right-wing with their narrow-minded piety, who make announcements as if they have a hot-line to God's campaign office.
Tom Gallagher displays simple vote-grabbing cynicism by sucking up to Christian conservative leaders in Florida.
"Tom's story is a true story of Christ's redemption, it's not an election year conversion" said Pam Olsen, an outspoken conservative activist. "He has walked with Christ. Tom truly loves the Lord. People of faith across the state are praying for him."
Sounding like a Christian zealot Ms. Olsen sits as the Statewide Co-Chair for the Social Conservatives for Gallagher Coalition, spewing grand-sounding pronouncements, but how can she possibly know if Tom's story of Christ's redemption is true, or just a carefully crafted plan created by a voter-hungry election committee?
What does she really mean by "Tom Gallagher has walked with Christ"?
Olsen is an outspoken right-wing bigot, naively relishing her time in the spotlight; she should be preaching in a church hall, not on a statewide platform trying to influence others with her bizarre religious views and pompous statements.
Gallagher would be better served by dealing with sky-rocketing insurance bills; problems that affect most Floridians, not courting right-wing religious nuts.

Do you have any quotations from Crist about gay marriage and "civil unions"? What has he actually said, himself?
