I think Syrila works with Teheran, but isn't as direct a puppet as you think...Assad and his inner circle are neither Sunni or Shiite...and he is doing what he thinks will benefit HIM. He still considers himself a player, not just a client state, and does not have the religious convictions driving the mullahs.
They are not sure if Tony will be invited to join the 100 degree club. If he is invited me might be able to bug out of it seeing his recent battle with cancer.
The boxes I ordered are supposed to come in tomorrow (if you need to buy moving boxes, budgettrucks sells'em with no shipping costs) and then things go into high gear. Problem is making enough room not to trip over the boxes!

I need to dig out my ODS tapes, there's a good chance this actually IS Baghdad Betty from the TLAM raid S of that city, about the same time that CNN had the footage of several Tomahawks tracking the same ingress while being fired on by 57 mm AAA.
It'll take a couple days, I need to look up the date on that, not to hard to find because that footage caused Powell to halt all TLAM raids from that point on, and then use the date to find the tape segment. After distillation, the tapeset runs 150 hours, trial and error will take too long.
