Just think. Hezzi missiles has not homing devices. But Israeli bombs are precisely targeted. Right?
And we know the result. About 1000 lebanese civilians dead vs some 50 hezzi fighters. Now to what conclusion will come the unbiased watcher? Whom Israelites target with thier precision guided ammunition?

How many civilians did the Russian government kill, while having all sorts of high tech weapons to use in the Moscow theater a while back?
Having high tech weapons still does not give the user the ability to hone down to the specific person. Hezbollah hides amoungst civilians the same way that the Chechans hid amoungst the theater goers in Moscow.

Every member of Hezbollah that is not in the Lebonese army is a civilian. The only way for Israel to defend itself is to attack where Hezbollah is at.
Lebanon is who should have worked to disarm Hezbollah to begin with, but once Hezbollah started launching rockets into Israel, Israel had to respond and since rockets are still being launched, Israel has to continue responding until someone or something stops Hezbollah from launching rockets.
Or do you think Israel should just allow itself to be eradicated? This is not the first time Israel has been attacked repeatedly. Most of the time they did not respond, or responded weakly. Those non-responses are what encouraged Hezbollah to attack.
