Nothing ready yet. Because the range is short, and burn time of the motors shorter yet, they are really hard to detect and track. High energy laser could do the job, but those aren't quite ready for prime time, yet. Starved of development funds for the most part.
If we are talking college, I'm a '73. I should have been a '72, but between the credits required for an EE degree, and the half my AF ROTC credits which did not count towards it, I took 5 years. Could have done it in 4 1/2, but then I'd have lost my ROTC scholarship, but still had to stay for that last semester anyway.
If we are talking high school, then I'm an old dude of the class of '68. :)
Considering I'm right smack in the middle of several thousand of them who are doing just that, in the 4th ID and 1st Cav among other units, I have no trouble envisioning it at all. (3rd ACR is moving in and 4th ID won't come back here from their current deployment. There are also various reserve units transiting through.)
High school. I believe my hubby was class of 69,
I didn't start college myself until 1980 and took 4.5 years.
I should have qualified that...didnt mean it as it sounded...was sitting here at coffee shop watching 13-14 year old busboy....real fine representation.....pants were so low he was having trouble walking and holding a tray in his hand coz his pants were falling off. I see far too much of that up here in the northeast... I was raised in Texas and there were two things....Football and Responsability. When you went to work you dressed for work not a slumber party.
Parents are the problem up here....everyone too busy to correct a kid. Allow kids to make the rules....and you talk about smart mouths?!?
BTW My son just returned to Mosul last week.
