New Orleans image has been permanently stained for years now. post Katrina and post Katrina violence has only brought this image across the world only recently. New Orleans....failed socialists experiment by continually re-elected demoCommiecRATs there. Sad part is it will never change, it will remain the demoCommiecRATS failed socialists experiment.

I lived in NOLA from 88 to 95
six weekend shootings was about par for the course during the last five years of my sojourn there.
"Back in the day, we'd have three, four a night. Now we're barely managing two in a week."
I thought the same thing. I thuogh shootings were part of New Orleans' image.
Well before Katrina.
The tarnish IS the image, I thought. This is like talking about corrosion of rust or burning of ashes.
