Murtha continues to dig his own hole. Let us hope the 12th wises up as they get better aquainted with what kind of person he really has been.

I've got to agree with you, Coop. I've given money to Irey and a few others before I knew she was running, but now the rest of my money is going right into PA-12, directly to Irey's campaign.
I, too, appreciate that there are others out there who are running their own little operations against Murtha. But the acid test is simple -- is what they're doing going to generate votes for Diana Irey? Supporting her first and foremost is the best way to register your opposition to Murtha and his outrageous statements.
So I offer this suggestion (challenge?) to everyone reading an anti-Murtha thread: until you've donated money to Diana Irey's campaign, you're all hat and no cattle, as they say in my native Texas.
I've heard from a friend inside the Irey camp that they're about to go online with some kind of new communications gear that's going to allow people outside the district to do grass-roots organizing inside the district. I don't know if that's going to work or not. Until I hear that it's working to their satisfaction, I'll register my opposition to Murtha by writing checks until I've maxed out.
And I'm already working on getting some friends to do the same.

"The question is whether the God fearing patriotic Democrats of Pennsylvania's 12th District will continue to support a Congressman who no longer represents their values."
Does the Rat party have any real God fearing Patriots?
They have died off out here in California.
Senator Lieberman is running into the same reality re not many God Fearing Patriots left in his home state.

In the Sunday edition 7/30/06 of the Johnstown Tribune Democrat in the opinion section there was a interview with Brad Cober Vice chairman of the Somerset Republican Committee. He was asked the following question: "What kind of job has Murtha done for his district? Cober's answer "The Murtha situation is really tough for me. I have nothing but great things to say about Murtha. Without his efforts, the Meyersdale bypass wouldn't have been built. We all know what he's done for the Windber Research Institute and Kuchera Defense Systems, And he helped me out when my dad was ill with cancer and needed Social Security disability. I'll make no qualms about it: If I lived in Murtha's district, I'd be voting for him." Who's side is this guy on? First Gleason the Pa Chairman of the Republican Party made comments about how Murtha brings home the bacon, and now Cober's comments. WHAT'S A MATTER WITH THESE GUYS.
