I can't really read the officer's statement that well but I am going with the sober LAPD officer over the drunken Gibson. And I am thoroughly disgusted by Gibson and will never pay a cent to see anything he does. What a foul creature.
I am on the side of the LAPD officer because even without the anti-Semitic comments which wound me deeply and personally, Mel's rude use of the F-word in the cop's writeup matches the language and attitude of Mel once he reached the station and was videotaped. Those of you who don't see it this way are foolish, just as much as those who thought the entire LAPD had conspired against OJ Simpson.
I do have a few friends in the LAPD and they are some of the most honorable men I know. They lay their lives on the line daily for us.
1.2 in a breathalyzer? I have been in the presence of many people who had the same amount of alcohol in their blood and yet did not resort to foul language. Being drunk is no excuse. Mel was speeding on a dangerous road, and the officer had every right to pull him over. The officer was doing his job.
My mother travels that part of PCH and I am sorry, I don't care how famous the drunk drivers are there, I want them off the road because I don't want my mother killed by them. The officer in no way deserved, by ANY stretch of the imagination, that kind of language even WITHOUT the anti-Semitic bile.
I am absolutely disgusted with Mel Gibson and I hope he is finished in Hollywood.

Regarding the "passion" movie, Mel went out of his way to depict the Jewish people as grotesque and evil. Remember the scene where Jesus is being brought before the pharisees? The Jews in the scene were of a grotesque nature. Where Mel has the followers of Jesus sporting appealing faces. There are plenty of other examples.
Mel is just another human being who is FULL of himself. "I own Malibu".
