If you're referring to Stormfront Studios, what does that have to do with anything?....it's in Northern California....
Does this relate to Mel?.....Is that the insignia at the beginning of his movies?.....I thought it was Icon?
Don't most of these studios let out early on Friday?

Good morning.
"This article doesn't pass the smell test."
Everything should be on film, from beginning to end, so we'll know soon. It does sound more than a bit contrived though, doesn't it.

"Is it me, or does this sound completely made up?"
It could be...but if it's not he is only repeating what his father has been saying about the jews for years.
Do a google search of Hutton Gibson and his beliefs. Pretty scary.

One more thingInstead of the condemnation, ridicule, and chastisement....
..why don't we stop and pray for him?
I will always treasure the movie Braveheart..as a true work of conscience & heart.
I believe he was genuine & conscientious in making The Passion...
This story isn't the Mel we've come to appreciate and respect.
Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and pray for him, his wife and 7 children.
Something is very wrong here....Lift him in prayer.
I know I will.

The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"Anybody believes that, stand on your head.

What the heck is "TMZ"? I've started to notice articles from TMZ posted on other forums jsut recently, so I think they're quite new. From what I've seen, they look like nothing but a gossip site to me -- along the lines of the National Enquirer or something like that.

I always wrote what the suspect said if they went on a tirade. It helped to show that they were intoxicated. I especially liked it when they ranted about judges.

People who are drunk and arrested tend to get pretty pissed off. Particularly fairly spoiled people who don't often experience not getting what they want. And they rant and rave the way only belligerent people can. I've seen this :~)
So I can find it believable, while believing a sober version of Mel would never have said any of it.

It's very sad, if true. Doesn't change my feelings for Mel..He is only human, like the rest of us, even if we put him on a pedestal.
Looks like the press is crucifying the guy..

It is not like swilling a bottle of Jack, but it sure isn't equivalent to drinking "a beer" and gargling with mouthwash. A can of beer is going to be about .02. .12 equals about six beers. Factor in the burn rate of about .015 an hour, and you end up with more than six beers consumed, unless he pounded down a six pack in short order, and got arrested immediately thereafter, and instantly took a breath test.
To: perfect_rovian_storm
I agree (about the sugar things) Also continually saying to a man that he was going to F him sounds strange.
We'll see.
Anyway, I'm kinda sad about this whole thing. It's strange how a guy who seems to have it all can be the prisoner of addiction.

Mel is toast. Millions of dollars, superstar looks, having his own church congregation by invitation only, jets, limos...do these such as these parellel the life of a humble carpenter from Nazareth?Funny how God finds ways to invite ourselves into a more humble existence. If Mel is looking for where he needs to go, this may be one of those 'mysterious ways' with which God works.

Well said, BTS.
I think Mel has been taunted by demons (metaphorically at least, perhaps literally) for along time.
Our thread last night probably showed the triteness that his good looks has caused in perceptions of his talents and skill as an artist and an actor.
I wonder sometimes what the Passion of the Christ may have unleashed in him... To see and feel so deeply doesn't get resolved and put back in the box when the editing is complete.
I will pray for him. I think he's a good man, a tormented soul, and one who is struggling to find his footing. I hope he and his wife are still walking together...
