"Simply stated, a guest worker amnesty program would not only attract even more illegal aliens into our country enabling terrorists and criminals to more easily blend into our country, it would also provide unknown aliens with official identity documents in assumed identities that would enable the terrorists and criminals with an easy means of creating new identities they could use to travel freely across our borders, around our nation and gain access to secure venues and embed themselves in our country. This would, I fear, create a grave risk to our nation’s security."

But, Spiff, Cutler isn't running for election. Logic doesn't matter, security doesn't matter, whether "shamnesty" creates a disaster for future generations doesn't matter, whether benefits for these interlopers doesn't matter...the only thing that matters is getting their votes and the campaign contributions of the businesses that employ them.

A Guest Worker Amnesty Program is Disastrous for National Security

Not if properly executed.

Unfortunately, DHS has not properly executed a damn thing and it's unlikely they will properly execute they flawed program that Congress creats.

A guest worker amnesty program that has the potential of dumping millions of more applications into the hopper at USCIS would be absolutely disastrous for any effort at combating immigration benefit fraud and restoring even a modicum of integrity to the immigration system and would fly in the face of recommendations of the 911 Commission.

I am continually stunned and amazed how the supporters of a guest worker program are allowed to ignore this basic and fatal flaw in their proposals. The MSM is quick to point out how it is "physically impossible" to deport 12 million illegals but never points out that it is physically impossible to process millions of guest worker visas on top of all the other visas.

Rarely do you see a headline writer capture the essence of an article so succinctly and thoroughly.

I found this one today and was going to post it but saw that someone beat me to it by two days.

Check it out. The typical FROBLs were posting to the thread within 5 minutes of its posting and stupidly attacking Phyllis Schlafly as a Bush hater or some such crap. They still haven't topped their calling the Grand Dame of conservative politics a "Tancredo sock puppet" but that isn't for lack of trying.

Thanks for the earlier ping, Spiff.

Funny how the open borders folks aren't posting on this thread. I guess they're too busy rolling in the latest Simcox thread to deal with a serious and informed assessment of the problems with a guest worker program.

Common sense is sadly missing in Washington.

This amnesty couldn't be a worse plan for America, with the importation of millions of uneducated and dependent people, some possible terrorists, new diseases, increased crime, increased taxation, etc. etc. etc.

And the plus side for American citizens is ????? Whatever the morons in Washington are trying to sell, we don't want it, and it's not worth it.
