There are 4500 there now, the plan is for 6000 by August. Simcox on the other hand has 2 miles of cattle fence and 1.6 million in his pocket.

Not "significant"?

It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO insignificant, that you chose to write about it on this thread. And THAT beggars your statements.

National Guard troops boost Border Patrol operations

Thanks to the presence of more than 4,500 National Guard soldiers and airmen, about 250 U.S. Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol are back patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said July 25.

The troops are serving in the four southwest border states — California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas — as part of a two-year mission dubbed Operation Jump Start. The program, ordered by President Bush as part of a sweeping plan for immigration reform, calls for up to 6,000 Guard troops on the border by Aug. 1 to boost the Border Patrol while the civilian agency hires and trains more agents.

“The National Guard’s part in this is to provide military support to civilian law enforcement,” said Lt. Gen. H. Steven Blum, chief of the National Guard Bureau. “We’re replacing them so [the Border Patrol] can get badges back on the border.”

The Guard troops are building roads and fences and conducting surveillance.

“Probably the biggest things that we bring are the additional eyes and ears,” Blum said. National Guard -

We are talking about the promises folks made about the National Guard, and the missions effectiveness, and opennes to public accountability; you know just like the Minutemen.\

Only the Minutemen are not being paid or spending $128k per person and prevaricating about their mission; have a website up, and are subject to intense media scrutiny started by yours truly.

I think it relates.

You are scrutinizing private citizens, but do not wish to expose fraud, mismanagement and failure to uphold advertised and promised standards of the NG. That's the same issue.

If you'll look at the title, this thread is about the Minutemen and Simcox.

If you start a thread about the NG deployment, give me a ping.

Texas. They said there were going to be 4500 on the border by 1 July. What's the date of the article.

On 30 Jun there were 483 on the border.

So the hell what? They have 4500 there now and plan 1500 more by August. You have been reading too much Vdare crap.

They broke their stated goal; why arent you calling for a congressional inquiry. It's being mismanaged.

Talking about the NG is a strawman. It's irrelevant to the current discussion.

This thread is about why Simcox hasn't been accountable to and open with his donors, about what has been done with the money he's taken in for the MCDC.

It doesn't relate at all.

It's also a straw man argument.

Look. If you want to charge that the NG is being used in a fraudulent manner, then you are just as free as anyone else to post a thread to make the charges with any information you choose. You can ping me and anyone else to it and we can discuss the issue. What you are attempting to do here is hijack this thread to cover for your favorite crook. You can continue to spam the thread as long as the mods allow it but the subject is closed as far as I am concerned.

Not a strawman at all.
This comes from the front page of FR:

We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption.

You just are not paying attention to the big picture.

And when the feds are spending $770 million to do what the MMDC and Minutemen are doing you could care less about the mission, mission effectiveness, cost, accountability, public openness by the Federal Government and buy their press releases hook line and sinker.

When a private organization does the same for much less taxpayer money; they are racists, fraudsters and scammers.

I see the relevance.

Of course it's a straw man and this latest spinning is even worse...it's CLINTONIAN!

And as far as FR's stated purpose, you may be able to read them, but understanding what they mean, is beyond your ability.

The MMCDC has yet to do anything much at all. As a matter of fact, if you were being honest, you would admit that; but you never shall. You are far to emotionally invested in it and the people who are involved in it.

Yes, it is a well known fact that he IS a retread and retreads should be banned, again, when discovered.
