Yes, 'Stargate SG-1' is more upbeat than any other Canadian made(Ricchard Dean Anderson is a producer[he's American, I think]) TV sci-fi series !
This actress, Amanda Tapping, is better than I than my first impression of her(from the first season) lead me to be, that she was eye-candy and there for PC purposes(which she is) - - but she improved as an actress as the series went along !
Canada is a very liberal ~ socialist country,
but they sure do produce some very beautiful women :-)
Amanda Tapping has a child of her own now, which is very good !
