Anyone know of a podcast download of this exchange between Bolton and Kerry? I'd love to hear all that...
I love this guy more every minute!
I love that stuff. It is absolutely the BEST!
Oh Howlin, you can't believe how funny it was. You have to get a copy of the actual exchanges. I was laughing so hard I could harly type.
The Dems don't have any heavy weights. Plenty of aging over weights yes. Heavy weights, no.
So Osama obama had the wrong boltin!! LOLOL........what's a little mistake like that, LOLOL
B-O-L-T-E-N
Staffers were fumbling feeding Kerry notes ...
The highlights:
Kerry/Bolton exchange:
They didn't.
They did.
They didn't.
They did.
They did?
They did.
//
Kerry: "You are losing me a little bit ..."
//
Kerry: "Why not do bi-lateral negotiations... thats what the Clinton Administration did"
Bolton: "Very poorly, I'd say. They violated the agreement from the very start"
See #689 :)
/sarcasm
You swear he said that on national TV? If so, you have made my day!!
I'm going to have to find the rerun or watch it on CSPAN, that's for sure.
He said it and more. Bolton changed the whole tone of the questioning by Kerry. For the majority of the rest of his time, Kerry was put on defense and had to defend the Clinton Administrations policies.
I can't verify the exact quote but it's posted a few times upthread.
Classic!
I think they said it would be on CPAN 1 Monday. In any case Kerry was the last one to question Bolton, but Omama's line of questioning along with the leak in the ceiling are worth a watch too.
I was watching earlier, but had to leave (I hate real life!).
I WANT to see this!!
Kerry actually said that today?
(Joining you in prayer)

07/27/2006 John Kerry Opposes Re-Nomination of John Bolton for UN Ambassador John Boltons still the wrong man, for the wrong job, at the wrong time.# # #Mr. Bolton has had nearly a year to prove the Senate wrong since his recess appointment. Instead, he has proven that the Senate was right to deny his confirmation last summer. He has helped isolate the United States, made it harder to pursue our interests, and failed to get results on our critical security issues.
The world is literally blowing up around us, and we need serious people for serious jobs. I dont care if he is the smartest kid in the class. I dont care if he is the loudest kid on the block. I care that he doesnt get results at a time when we need them. He couldnt get the UN to enforce Resolution 1559 to disarm Hezbollah. He failed to get Russia, China, and even our ally South Korea on board at the Security Council to impose tough sanctions on North Korea. And he has shown no leadership to stop the genocide in Darfur. We need an Ambassador at the United Nations who knows how to build coalitions and can get results.
We need someone at the UN who can achieve real results, not just talk big; someone who inspires confidence in all of us, not just confidence in neoconservative circles. This is a time that demands statesmanship in this post.
Is it finished for the day?
