Basically you give money to third world politician, who then pockets it but claim he will do something good, like protect the rain forest or some other BS, and you can be like Al Gore, feeling morally superior, not in the real world, by in the twisted liberal fantasy you find yourself unable to escape.

Ah, but he pays others not to use carbon so he can continue to do so. You see, that's the solution--we just all spend thousands of dollars to bribe poor people not to use carbon. Living guilt-free is easy when you're rich like Algore and can afford to pay off others then lecture the rest of us.
