The rules have changed. They were given Gaza for a homeland, and now they used it to attack and invade Israel. Israel can stop firing when it wants, the response to an act of war is the victims decision.
This is like a mass murderer saying that He is going to give up killing women for now because the police are close.
Nice that they want, or at least some of them want to stop shooting. But the deed is done. Stopping shooting will not bring the dead back to life.
