In these times, everyone's afraid of getting into political dust-ups at the water cooler.

That's a FACT. I won't even discuss politics at work.
Not one word.
I will.
Do you have something aagainst curtains?
Thanks. My Dad was 79 at the time of the interview. He was quite sharp and remembered a lot though.
Yes, I hate curtains and I think talking about curtains is just about the most boring conversation there is on the planet of the earth. Now blinds is another subject.
One good reason to not talk politics in the workplace is that there are too many Leftists who would consider it their duty to cripple your career
ok, no problem, if you're a woman you just hang hollywood promo pictures of people like john wayne and charleton heston, pictures of george washington (patriotism really kills them), etc.
That's a great idea...I love all three.
We been had by this kind of thing before where an enthusiastic neo-freeper gets on and starts making increasingly loopy statements about themselves and finally racist statements to see how many Freepers get yanked along.
The thread then gets wide posting around the leftist internet boards the troll came from to show what dupes/racists and silly Christians the 'wingnuts' are....
Bingo!
Your coworkers aren't liberal, they're apolitical. The apolitical outnumber liberals and conservatives combined. The apolitical aren't informed, don't care to be informed, and really like it that way.
I don't have any lib friends, which is just the way I like it.
I work for a military contractor, where our lib staff is @10% and deep in the closet.
Therefore, this is one of the few places where expressing a lib viewpoint is frowned upon. In fact, you can opnely express conservative views and it will not hurt you here.
You have liberal friends? Dump them!!!
You got us!
