Yes - "un-American" is simply a belief or attitude that is not in harmony or agreement with our Constitution, et al. That is different from "anti-American", which would include Communism and Islam.
I have a vision of a game show where Pat Buchanan is competing with Michael Moore. The host reads off random unfortunate events and they have 30 seconds to come up with a reason why the Jooos (Pat) or Bush (Michael) is to blame for it. An Applause-O-Meter is then used to decide which explanation wins that round.

I was in Israel back in 2000 when Israel was withdrawing from Lebanon. The people leaving Lebanon passed right by our bus as they were going south while we were going north to the Golan Heights.
On that trip our Christian tour group also went to Petra in Jordan. The Jordanese government desires Christian Tourists to visit and was at that time building hotels to increase the tourism.
Everyone knew we were Christians and we had no problems with anyone other than the bus driver.
When we entered Jordan, we had to leave our Israeli bus and get into a Jordanian bus because Israeli vehicles were not allowed in Jordan. Our bus driver treated us to an unending litany of everything he thought was wrong with Israel. The hate he openly displayed was unbelievable.
The group I traveled with was very generous in tipping everyone who worked for us, but we voted to not give this driver any tips at all.
Sorry, Buchanan just doesn't fit in with Cronkite, Albright, Gore, etc. He's no leftist. Put him in with Novak, Sobran, and David Duke, though, and you've got a foursome.
