That is a thought...because when I first started watching Joe he was pretty conservative sounding...but as the show went on..especially during election coverage..he go more and more liberal..it was sickening..
Then, he started really bashing Bush, turned against the war...and I stopped watching him.
:')
I am glad you were kind...I tend to give a newbie a chance if there first post or two are "normal"...
There does seem to be a "taboo" around here on newbies starting threads...
Not that it isn't supposed to be done...they are just more distrusted I think, so their posts better be "okay".
I have posted almost 34,000 posts..and I have NEVER started a thread...LOL
From Regime Change Iran
Piece of cake, Cordesman's a wizard. I've got him linked seven ways from Sunday here, in addition to hardcopies of his larger works. Nothing more than a bit of C&P to pass it on, but YW anyway.
If you pop up a couple/three levels on the Global Secuirty page, you can find all military data for Syria, with maps and overheads in many cases, and a few levels above that, you can find similar data for just about any country on earth.
globalsecurity dot org > military > countries
Good stuff.
I was thinking the same thing as I was reading this and got to your post! I got rid of my TV hoping to get more done and have more peace and quiet, but then got this new laptop and DSL for the first time, so for the first time I can get videos, so I've basically got the TV again! (If they'll give more free videos!)
And there's something to be said about talking with all of you at a time of world excitement like this....hearing your views...it's been quiet enjoyable and I'm learning alot! Thx!
I think we both quit about the same time, he went black in my house when he had Lawrence O'Donnell back on his show, but knock on wood, I haven't seen O'Donnell, though I hear he has been on Olberman's show... and Joe was irritated at Buchanan tonight. I basically switch to him, now, when Alan Colmes becomes too much to take.
You're right. As far as I know, there aren't any mosques around that advertise. However, there are many Middle Eastern folks who have gravitated here. Professionals and business owners. We usually keep our eyes peeled for tweekers.
Thank you for posting that thread, I will save it this time.
My eyelids are too heavy for heavy duty reading..so, I am going to read them in the morning..but, I thank you again.
I am way ahead on posts and have never started a thread either..LOL
Yes...LIVE threads during big events...Katrina last year, the elections, 9/11, and this..together WITH a TV, are the best.
Before FR, I would watch these type events and turn to my husband or the "air" and ask why this or that happened...and of course, no answer.
NOW, not only does someone answer, but there is ALWAYS someone that KNOWS the answers...LOL
My guess would be that there is a local road servicable for tracked vehicles.
There are next to none where I live, but our local paper has just recently hired someone with an arab name who is writing for them and I am certainly curious. We are a very small city in northeastern upstate NY. In Albany, where my twin daughters live with their families, there are many Muslims. I was down there last week and some girl wrote a letter to the editor about Muslim girls being made fun of because they wore hijab. Of course, Albany also saw a major arrest last year of terrorist abettors.
EXACTLY...I was trying to remember what the "last straw" was..and you are right.
GRRRR..
Yes, I have NEVER watched the Keith Olbermann show, not once...but on the night that ValJoe Plame announced their lawsuit against Cheney and gang...I was channel surfing and lo and behold, there was O'Donnell...but, shock of shocks, he was saying he didn't think they have a case!!
And, he was NOT yelling...LOL
Very good stuff, a "must read" for the interested, Iranian and Syrian connections to Hezbollah, arms transfers, ranges, suspected intentions, meetings as late as a week ago, etc:

Yeah, so the UK is supposed to save and welcome back a terror propagandist (and probabably worse) on "humanitarian grounds"....... what a mega-barfer.
They should not take him anywhere unless it's to drop him off in the middle of the Mediterranean (without lifevest) - invite him to swim for it and see if Allah wants to save his sorry hide.......
You're welcome. I'll know who to call on next time I need it. *wink*
Oh, thank you for telling me that.
I was so afraid that I was some kind of slacker or something. Part of the problem is everyone else is too quick...
AND, long time posters are very hard on people that start threads some times...and I never want to suffer any wrath...LOL
Oh, and heaven forbid I ever post a Vanity...oh NO!
