Apparently the DA doesn't agree. You are correct though, it's a case with unusual circumstances and it'll be interesting to follow it.
However, doctors and nurses are taught not to abandon patients and certainly not to euthanize them. But, we don't know all the details, such as how much help was available or not available, what information of the situation around them the staff had and when, etc.
Until that comes out, all we can do is follow the story, I believe.
